ADVENTURE ALONG THE EMERALD COAST
Experience several unforgettable outdoor adventures in Destin
By Heather Turk
Whether you are looking for adventure on land or you want to explore the destination’s famous emerald-green waters, Destin offers several unforgettable outdoor activities along the Emerald Coast.
Visitors will find a wealth of activities to enjoy at Henderson Beach State Park. Known for its 30-foot, snow-white sand dunes and warm gulf waters, the park has 60 campsites with water, electricity, ground grills and picnic tables and can accommodate either tents or RVs. Campers and visitors alike can go swimming, bicycling or geocaching; hike the Henderson Beach Nature Trail or learn more about the park at its interpretive exhibit. Henderson Beach State Park is also a popular place for anglers to try to catch some fish, such as pompano, flounder, catfish and the occasional cobia. floridastateparks.org/ parks-and-trails/henderson-beach-state-park

to explore nearby Okaloosa Island. Paddlers can immerse themselves in nature, watching dolphins jump in the distance, eagles soar overhead and birds, like least terns and black skimmers, nest upon the bay’s white sand. Come April, paddlers might even see the occasional manatee swim by! All of Kayak on a Bay’s single and tandem kayak rentals are Vibe Kayaks that offer raised seating, making the vessels much safer than most standard kayak rentals. Life jackets, equipment and instructions are also included in the rental reasonable rates. kayakonabay.com
Additionally, visitors can traverse the Emerald Coast’s waters aboard a 45-foot Beneteau sailing yacht with East Pass Sailing Company. The local charter company will open for its sixth season in March, offering everything from private daytime and sunset sightseeing charters to sailing lessons for groups of up to six people. Once the water starts to warm up in late April, guests can book Sail & Swim trips as well. The 3to 4-hour outing takes passengers to a secluded, sugar-white sand beach on Okaloosa Island that is only accessible by boat so they can soak in the breathtaking scenery and go for a swim in the crystal-clear water. eastpasssailing.com
Probably the best way for thrill seekers to experience the Emerald Coast’s waters, though, is to go on an underwater adventure with Destin Snorkel. Its 3-hour snorkeling and shelling catamaran adventure includes a stop at one of Florida’s most beautiful snorkeling spots — the East Pass jetties — where snorkelers can watch schools of tropical fish swirl through rock formations just feet away. For those craving a deeper thrill, Destin Snorkel also offers the only SNUBA experience in Destin. SNUBA divers can descend to depths of up to 20 feet to explore the jetties’ reefs and marine life with no scuba certification required. destinsnorkel.com

A PLACE OF RESILIENCE
Get to know the inspiring waterfront community of Safety Harbor
Nestled between the bustle of Tampa and the sugar-sand beaches of Clearwater, Safety Harbor has long charmed visitors with its walkable downtown, creative spirit and deep sense of community. However, in the fall of 2024, the bayside city was tested like never before. Three hurricanes swept through the region, damaging beloved landmarks and disrupting daily life. What followed wasn’t retreat — it was resilience.
Today, Safety Harbor stands as a testament to what happens when a community comes together.
A natural starting point for any visit is the historic Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center at Main Street and Second Avenue. Housed in one of the city’s most recognizable buildings, the center offers maps, souvenirs and a warm introduction to Safety Harbor’s past and present. After undergoing a recent renovation, it also reflects the city’s forwardlooking spirit — one grounded in pride, perseverance and place.
That spirit is perhaps best embodied along the waterfront. Philippe Park, the oldest park in Pinellas County, remains a crown jewel with its towering oak trees, harborside trails and ancient Tocobaga Temple Mound. Nearby, Folly Farm Nature Preserve offers a quieter escape with winding paths, butterfly gardens and community green space. Along
the bay, the city’s pier—destroyed during the 2024 storms—is now in the process of thoughtful reconstruction, symbolizing Safety Harbor’s commitment to restoring what matters most.
Art and creativity continue to thrive in Safety Harbor, too. Whimzeyland, the iconic mosaiccovered home of artists Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda, remains one of Florida’s most

delightfully unexpected attractions. Less than a mile away, the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center pulses with live music, drum circles, open mic nights and performances that welcome both locals and visitors into the fold.
Downtown’s oak-lined brick streets are home to a dining and retail scene that has weathered change with determination and collaboration. At The Tides Market, chef Jon Walker — whose culinary creativity has earned the restaurant a spot in the MICHELIN Guide — serves standout seafood dishes and famously popular happy-hour oysters. Gigglewaters, a speakeasy-style restaurant and microcinema, continues to offer nostalgic comfort food and classic films in an intimate setting.
However, it’s the stories behind the storefronts that truly define Safety Harbor’s resilience.
That spirit of adaptability is reflected in local retailers like Jamie Prince of Seersucker Sassy Boutique and Betsy Byrd of The Stuffed Mushroom. When changing market conditions made it necessary for Prince to leave her longtime Main Street location, the two entrepreneurs turned a challenge into an opportunity. Their collaboration brought Seersucker Sassy Boutique together with Byrd’s newest concept, Byrd’s Nest by The Stuffed Mushroom. Both businesses are housed in a vibrant new shared space that
has quickly become a downtown favorite. The partnership highlights how Safety Harbor’s small businesses support one another, embrace creativity and continue evolving together.
“Safety Harbor has a way of showing up for you,” Prince said. “Even when things feel

Folly Farm Nature Preserve is home to a 17-foottall wooden gnome named Gnomeo. One of Safety Harbor’s most popular photo opportunities, Gnomeo was created by artists Chris Dotson and Kumpa Tawornprom as an homage to Danish artist Thomas Dambo’s famous wooden troll sculptures.

pizzas and live music, opened its kitchen to a fellow restaurant displaced by construction delays, allowing the restaurant to serve lunch while it awaits its reopening. It’s a rare example of cooperation over competition, and one that residents proudly point to as quintessentially Safety Harbor. As Amy Rogan, co-owner of The Pub and a longtime community leader, put it: “Resilience here isn’t just about rebuilding structures. It’s about protecting the culture, the relationships and the sense of community that make Safety Harbor feel like home.”
Environmental stewardship is another cornerstone of the community. Backwater Provisions Co., founded by Darren Loscalzo, blends Florida-forward style with sustainability, partnering with clean water initiatives that protect the very ecosystems that make the region special. “Taking care of the water is taking care of our home,” Loscalzo shared. “That responsibility shows up in everything we do.”
Hospitality also played a vital role following the storms. Local properties like the Safety Harbor Motel and Candlewood Suites Safety Harbor – Clearwater NE by IHG opened their doors to residents and displaced neighbors, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a place where compassion comes first. The iconic Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, built atop the historic Espiritu Santo Springs, continues to anchor the downtown experience, offering bay views, mineral springs and easy access to the city’s many festivals and events. Among them is the beloved 3rd Friday Street Celebration, when Main Street fills with live music, vendors and families — a monthly reminder that joy is something Safety Harbor chooses again and again.
For visitors arriving by air and discovering Safety Harbor for the first time, that feeling is immediate and enduring. It’s a town that bends, rebuilds and rises together, inviting everyone who visits to be part of its story. safetyharborchamber.com

Go on a fishing or cruising adventure with Hubbard’s Marina
By Heather Turk
The longest-running and only fourthgeneration family owned and operated fishing and sightseeing business in Central West Florida, Hubbard’s Marina has been cruising the Gulf of Mexico’s waters since 1928. For those who want to go fishing during their trip to St. Pete-Clearwater, spring is the perfect time to check out one of the Madeira Beach company’s popular fishing excursions.
“After nearly 100 years of fishing these waters, our family still gets excited when spring rolls around,” said captain Dylan Hubbard, owner of Hubbard’s Marina. “Our waters come alive with lane snapper, hogfish, red grouper and migratory pelagic fish, and the weather settles into that perfect pattern anglers dream about. It’s an incredible season to get offshore and experience the true heartbeat of Florida fishing.”
Hubbard’s Marina offers a variety of fishing trips during the spring months, from 5-hour
steady action and cooler depths, and a 12hour extreme trip for advanced anglers that takes place on a fast catamaran. Each trip is shaped by generations of knowledge passed

While the spring months offer ideal fishing conditions, spring also happens to be one of the best seasons for wildlife viewing in Central West Florida. Not only is there increased dolphin and sea turtle activity, but manatees are also often spotted earlier in the season. Guests can see some wildlife up close on one of Hubbard’s Marina’s sightseeing cruises, like its 90-minute narrated dolphin watching cruise. The company is so confident that passengers will see a bottlenose dolphin while exploring the waters of Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico that if they don’t, their next trip is free!
Did You Know…
Hubbard’s Marina offers private boat charters for those who want to customize their own fishing, snorkeling or wildlife viewing trip.
Springtime is a great time to book a snorkeling tour at Egmont Key, too, and see schools of fish and other marine life in the clear water. Several other sightseeing and nature cruises are available as well, including a 3-hour shelling trip to Shell Key, a sunset cruise with complimentary wine and beer, and the familyfavorite pirate ship cruise featuring water gun battles and pirate stories. With so many excursions to choose from, Hubbard’s Marina is sure to have something for everyone.
“Whether you’re chasing snapper offshore, spotting dolphins at play or exploring the islands around Tampa Bay, this time of year brings some of the clearest conditions and most active wildlife we see all season,” Hubbard said. “It’s one of the best times to see what makes our stretch of Florida coastline so unique.” hubbardsmarina.com

St. Pete-Clearwater golf courses sure to score a hole in one with players
By Heather Turk
Golfers hoping to book a tee time in St. Pete-Clearwater will find several beautiful courses nearby known for challenging players of all skill levels.
CLEARWATER COUNTRY CLUB
Located minutes from Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Country Club opened in 1921 and is part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail. Designed by Herbert Strong, the 18-hole, par 72 golf course features four sets of tees ranging from 4,000 to 6,200 yards. Stevenson Creek comes into play on seven of the holes, and there’s an active railroad track that passes through the course. The interesting par 4 14th hole can be played conservatively with a 175-yard tee shot leaving an easy pitch, or golfers can risk going for the green which is guarded by the creek. A high, accurate 230-yard shot will leave players putting for an eagle. clearwatercountryclub.com
The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort is a lengthy challenge for even the longest hitters
DUNEDIN GOLF CLUB
Home of the PGA of America from 1945 through 1962, Dunedin Golf Club completed a $6 million restoration in 2024 so that golfers could experience the 18hole, Donald Ross-designed golf course almost as it was when it opened in 1927. The historic course has since won first place in Golf Inc.’s 2025 Renovation of the Year public courses category. The par 72 course is 6,745 yards from the back tees and has five tee boxes. Hole 6 — the Shark’s Mouth — is a favorite with players. Although it’s a short par 3 of 149 yards, it has a gaping bunker at the front of the green that challenges every shot. dunedingolfclub.com

open exclusively to guests staying in one of its condo-style suites or members of its club. Although best known for the par 71, 7,209-yard Copperhead Course, which hosts the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship, the par 72, 7,194-yard Island Course is equally demanding, with tight fairways, intimidating water hazards, abundant bunkers and extraordinary elevation changes. The par 71, 6,620yard South Course is another favorite with golfers due to its links-style design. Rounding out the Palm Habor property’s more than 23,000 yards of golf is the par 35, 2,900-yard North Course, known for its daunting par 3s. innisbrookgolfresort.com
MANGROVE BAY GOLF COURSE
Voted one of the best budgetfriendly golf courses in Florida, Mangrove Bay is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located on 180 acres in northeast St. Pete. Designed by Bill Amick in 1978, the course is 6,656 yards from the back tees and features USGA-modified Platinum Paspalum greens. Both the par 3 15th hole and the par 4 16th hole reach out over bridges onto a mangrove bay area. ART FOR ART’S SAKE

The SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival may take place in the fall, but visitors to St. Pete can enjoy the festival’s previous contributions to the city’s art scene throughout the year.
Produced by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival has transformed St. Pete’s shared outdoor spaces into a stunning open-air art museum over the years by having local, national and international artists create large-scale murals on the city’s walls and streets. Since the event began in 2015, it has created nearly 200 murals throughout the city, with a high concentration of murals found in downtown St. Pete, the Warehouse Arts District and along the Pinellas Trail. Not only has the festival showcased the work of more than 90 local artists, but it has also hosted artists from more than 15 countries spanning six continents.
“SHINE is one vibrant thread in St. Petersburg’s creative tapestry,” said Helen French, the executive director of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. “By wandering through neighborhoods where breathtaking murals surprise you around every corner, you’ll also encounter local businesses,

SHINE’s most recent festival, 2025’s “SHINE Origins,” celebrated the local artists, residents and businesses that make St. Pete shine. Sixteen local artists added 19 murals throughout the city, including at the Melting Pot restaurant, The Cordova Inn, Tyrone Middle School, the iconic 600 Block alley, Haddy’s 3D printing facility, the Vernis & Bowling law firm and multiple locations along the Pinellas Trail.
With high temperatures in the 70s and 80s from March through May, spring is the perfect time to use the interactive mural maps online (shineonmurals.com or stpeteartsalliance.org/ shine) to go on a free self-guided walking tour to see some SHINE’s creations. The murals are accessible 24/7, and SHINE is the first mural festival in the world to offer an audio tour and the technology to instantly connect viewers to online content about the pieces via PixelStix. Florida CraftArt (floridacraftart.org/ events-calendar) also offers guided mural tours by bicycle on the first Saturday of each month, as well as 10 a.m. Saturday walking mural tours. One of the breweries included in the Gulp Coast Craft Brewery Passport just happens to be the oldest microbrewery in Florida. Celebrating 30 years in business, Dunedin Brewery is known not only for such popular beers as its Apricot Peach Ale, but also for being the only brewery in Dunedin with its own kitchen. Guests can savor such scratch-made fare as the fish tacos or smashburgers while trying one of 14 beers on tap. Dunedin Brewery regularly hosts DJs and local and regional bands, too, and will feature jam bands such as The Heavy Pets and Funkin’ Grateful during its 12th annual Spring Beer Jam March 26-29. Numerous creative beers will be on tap as well throughout the festivities.

Guests can also enjoy a rotating list of lagers, barleywines, saisons, stouts, hand-crafted hard seltzers and gluten-free sours, like the refreshing Level 7: a gluten-free sour made with blueberry, lavender, lemon and elderflower.
Another Dunedin favorite is HOB Brewing Company. Pouring 22 beers brewed onsite — plus cider and guest taps — the brewery has an expansive outdoor patio with its own permanent Snack Shack. There’s a full stage, too, that frequently hosts live concerts. Signature selections include the Mango Hefeweizen, featuring delightful mango aromas and flavors complemented by traditional wheat and banana Weissbier characteristics and the light Peanut Butter Blonde beer.
For those visiting Safety Harbor, Crooked Thumb Brewery is one of St. Pete-Clearwater’s most unique breweries. Housed in a restored 1963 auto body shop, the rustic brewery has a spacious beer garden and an outdoor stage that hosts live entertainment every weekend from a variety of solo artists and bands. Guests can enjoy up to 20 of its own beers on tap, including lagers, IPAs, fruited sours and flavored stouts, as well as a variety of wines, ciders, seltzers, sangrias and sodas. Popular selections include the brewery’s strawberry milkshake Florida Weisse, the tart Strawberry Shakedown, and its German-style Pilsner, Grandpa Jack’s Pils. Local food trucks are also frequently on site during the weekend. On March 14, the brewery will be sponsoring the Safety Harbor Craft Beer Festival at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park, featuring unlimited tastings from more than 30 breweries, live music, food trucks, games and vendors.
Arkane Aleworks in Largo will be hosting several events this spring as well, including its annual Arkane in the Membrane event on March 13.

Best known for its fruited sours, IPAs and stouts, like the Pistachio Cream Puff sour ale, Arkane Aleworks has 28 of its own beers on tap with new offerings available weekly. It also features a rotating lineup of food trucks several nights a week serving everything from fresh Florida seafood to Memphisstyle BBQ. Beginning on May 1, “Star Wars” fans can enjoy seasonal beers like the Luke Dryhopper during the brewery’s May the Fourth weekend celebration.
While most breweries in St. Pete-Clearwater only have one location to check into on the passport, 3 Daughters Brewing has two locations: one in St. Pete and one in Clearwater. Known for its fresh, flavorful fare and its all-ages entertainment, including live music and bingo, 3 Daughters Brewing has 45 beers on tap at its St. Pete taproom and 20 beers on tap at its Clearwater taproom. Each beer — like its flagship citrusy Beach Blonde Ale — is brewed on site, with brewery tours available for visitors who want to see how they are made.
With these and so many other breweries featured, the Gulp Coast Craft Beer Passport makes it easy for visitors to get a true taste of what St. Pete-Clearwater’s brewing scene has to offer. visitspc.com/gulpcoast

find something
new to enjoy this spring at Fishermen’s Village
By Heather Turk
Southwest Florida’s premier waterfront destination for dining, Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda is celebrating the start of a new year with several restaurants joining its culinary portfolio.
In January, Fishermen’s Village kicked off 2026 with the opening of The Islands Kitchen & Cocktail House. Inspired by the flavors, colors and spirit of the tropics, the restaurant’s menu focuses on fresh seafood, health-conscious poke bowls, expertly prepared sushi, USDA Prime steaks, innovative salads and scrumptious sandwiches for lunch and dinner. Guests can sit on the restaurant’s 100-seat deck offering a westward-facing view of Charlotte Harbor and watch as the boats pass by — and maybe the occasional dolphin — while dining on such flavorful fare as the Duck Tacos, the Coconut-Crusted Tripletail and the Citrus Smoked Pan-Seared Salmon. There’s also a
This spring, Fishermen’s Village will also welcome the waterfront seafood restaurant and steakhouse Latitude 26°. Serving a menu where coastal flavors take center stage, the relaxed restaurant invites guests to enjoy lunch or dinner in its modern, glass-wrapped dining room. Diners can take in breathtaking views of Charlotte Harbor as they relish a selection of premium coastal seafood and expertly butchered steaks. Each plate on the menu is designed to feel special without ever feeling fussy and pairs perfectly with a selection from the restaurant’s curated wine list or one of its craft cocktails.
Latitude 26°’s sister restaurant, Castaways, will debut at Fishermen’s Village this spring as well. Located dockside, the open-air bar and grill is perfect for those wanting a more casual waterfront dining experience — one where flip-flops are encouraged and there is live music on select nights. Open for lunch and dinner, the eatery serves favorites like chicken wings, hamburgers, fried seafood baskets, boat drinks and cold beer. There are also more than 30 TVs on site, making it a

In addition to its new restaurants, Fishermen’s Village is still home to a couple of local favorites, including Village Brewhouse. Guests can feast upon unobstructed views of Charlotte Harbor from its 361seat patio while enjoying such signature dishes for lunch or dinner as the Red, White and Blueberry BBQ Burger, the grilled or blackened Grouper Sandwich and the Salmon Bites appetizer. The restaurant also boasts 20 beers on tap, with a rotating selection of domestic, imported and local craft brews.

Let Discover Sarasota Tours show you around Sarasota County
By Heather Turk
There’s no better way to explore Sarasota County than on a trolley tour with Discover Sarasota Tours.
A local favorite for the past eight years, the company offers a variety of entertaining and informative narrated daytime tours aboard its air-conditioned, 30-seat trolley, Dolly the Trolley. Each tour focuses on a different aspect of Sarasota or Venice’s history and culture, like the year-round “Circus Secrets of Sarasota” tour and the seasonal “Circus Secrets of Venice” tour that runs through April. Visitors can also visit the nearby Amish and Mennonite community of Pinecraft on the “Amish Experience: Bridges to Understanding” tour that’s offered through April, which includes a stop at Carlisle Inn to see Amish folk art and enjoy a delicious pie shooter.
While Discover Sarasota Tours may offer a tour for every taste, including art tours, an architectural tour and even a psychic tour, its “Sarasota City Sightseeing Tour” is a must for first-time visitors to the area. The 90-minute tour covers nearly 50 points of interest, including The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, the Sarasota Opera House and the Rosemary Art & Design District. The “Venice City Sightseeing Tour” is available as well through April, which passes by area attractions like the 1927 Historic Venice Train Depot.
At night, Dolly the Trolley turns into a theater on wheels, presenting original, interactive musicals like “Murder Mystery Trolley: Who Killed the Circus Queen?” There’s also
“Sing-Along Trolley” that includes a bar stop and a “Sunset Cabaret” tour. Most tours depart from the Trolley Cottage Gift Shop in Sarasota’s Gillespie Park, with select tours departing through April from the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce. All tours are reasonably priced, so be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible before the tour you’re interested in reaches capacity! discoversarasotatours.com

AN EXCITING NEW CHAPTER
Recent renovation breathes new life into The Historic Franklin Hotel
By Heather Turk
The Historic Franklin Hotel in Deadwood, South Dakota, is no stranger to hosting VIP guests, having welcomed such legendary figures as John Wayne, Theodore Roosevelt, Kevin Costner and Babe Ruth since opening in 1903. However, thanks to a recent propertywide renovation, now everyone who stays at the hotel will feel like a VIP.
After being lifted and leveled in 2023 due to the building settling approximately 4 inches over the past century, The Historic Franklin Hotel completed its first-ever large-scale renovation last August. A project two years in the making, the nearly $10 million renovation not only included all 73 guest rooms, 10 standard suites and four luxury suites in the hotel, but also the building’s public spaces and windows. The transformation was led by Chamberlin Architects, a firm renowned for its expertise in restoring and renovating historic buildings while honoring their architectural integrity.
Probably the most striking differences can be found in the guest rooms, which feature updated layouts that include new furnishings, improved lighting, new flooring, refreshed wall treatments and enhanced tech accessibility like key cards. Upgraded bathroom fixtures were installed as well, including replacing old bathtubs with glassenclosed showers. Each room now has central air conditioning instead of individual window air conditioning units, and there are custom candle-style sconces in the hotel corridors — a nod to the property’s candlelit ambiance in the early 1900s.
Savor a selection of perfectly aged, hand-cut steaks at Legends Steakhouse
While visitors are sure to love The Historic Franklin Hotel’s sophisticated new look, like its historically accurate wood windows, the property still features several amenities guests have enjoyed for years. The expansive casino floor remains, as does the popular Legends Steakhouse and the seasonal veranda that overlooks Deadwood’s outdoor pavilion, Outlaw Square. The result is a remarkable renovation that offers visitors an experience that feels refreshingly new while still rooted in history. silveradofranklin.com

Inside Allegiant’s Fun Squad
Work is better when it’s fun, and at Allegiant, fun isn’t just encouraged, it’s organized. That’s why the “Fun Squad” exists. The Fun Squad is made up of Allegiant team members across the network who raise their hands and say, “Hey, I have an idea!” They create events built for connection, recognition, and shared experiences and they embody one of our most important core values: spreading the sunshine.
Buckle up as we take a tour across our network to see how our Fun Squad members have been bringing Allegiant team members together.
FIRST STOP: LAREDO, TX (LRD)
When Halloween rolled around, Uni-Trade Stadium was the perfect place to celebrate the spooky season — especially since it’s minutes away from Laredo International Airport. The Fun Squad kicked things off at a haunted house where they experienced dark rooms, zombie rampages and lots of screaming! Then team members boarded a bus, grabbed paintball guns, and were dropped straight into zombie territory. Later in the year, the Laredo Fun Squad brought everyone together for a Bowling Night with food, drinks, raffles and a Secret Santa exchange to close out the holidays.
NEXT STOP: ST. PETE–CLEARWATER, FL (PIE)
SportsFest is one of the most anticipated events of the year for our St. PeteClearwater team, and it continues to grow every year. Hosted on an iconic white sand beach, this event turns the shoreline into a full-day team-building experience. Local teams compete in volleyball, dodgeball, tugof-war, paddleboard relays and cornhole. No athletic skill is required, just lots of team spirit and a willingness to jump in. Outside of SportsFest, the Fun Squad here keeps things exciting with outings to Clearwater Threshers baseball games and roller-skating nights that bring the team together.

GORDA,
FL
(PGD)
3, 2, 1… Happy New Year! Punta Gorda kicked off 2026 together with a Noon Year’s Eve countdown complete with sparkling apple cider. They also got creative with a goalsetting activity where team members wrote down their goals on seed paper, planted them in small pots, and took them home to watch them grow throughout the year.
FINAL STOP: LAS VEGAS, NV (LAS)
Near the airport at Sunset Park, the Las Vegas Fun Squad hosted a pickleball event. Some players were brand new to the game, while others came ready to compete. One experienced player even loaned his paddle to a brand new teammate and shared some tips about the game. Over the holidays, the Fun Squad also personally delivered chocolates to pilots, flight attendants, gate agents and Maintenance team members, making sure everyone felt celebrated and recognized.
The Fun Squad exists to bring Allegiant team members together. We can’t wait to share what new connections and activities are on the horizon in 2026!

Allegiant introduces a new onboard luxury for travelers — Altus Sol wine
By Heather Turk
Allegiant travelers already know that they can count on the airline for low-cost, nonstop flights, but now the company is offering passengers something new to enjoy en route to their favorite destination: its own wine.
Driven by a commitment to innovation and enhancing the onboard experience, Allegiant has reimagined the wine experience from the ground up with its custom wine, Altus Sol. With an industry-wide decline of the once standard 187-ml wine bottle and many vendors shifting toward formats that don’t resonate with Allegiant’s passengers, like cans and Tetra cartons, Allegiant knew it needed a more sustainable and versatile solution. That led the airline to Sonoma Bespoke, a leading wine company in Napa that specializes in custom wine solutions, to collaborate on their own brand of wine to sell onboard.
“Allegiant focuses on leisure destinations, and our wines can kick off any vacation,” said Max Franks, CEO of Sonoma Bespoke.
Meaning “high sun” in Latin, the name Altus Sol was chosen as a nod to the sunburst on an Allegiant airplane tail and the experience of looking out an airplane window and seeing the sun high above the clouds. Passengers can currently choose from two varietals: a Cabernet Sauvignon with extra notes of cigar-box aromas or a crisp Pinot Grigio. Both were specifically curated for enjoyment at 10,000 feet and higher.
“There are a lot of subtle things happening at altitude — cabin pressure and dry, thin air impact your sense of smell, and your perception of sweet and salty are suppressed,” said Donny Sebastiani, chairman of Sonoma Bespoke. “So, we try to make wines that balance those factors out: we select lots that are perfumy and aromatic, as well as wines from riper, sweeter grapes that add a fruit-forward component.”
Both Altus Sol wines are made from blends of different grapes found around coastal California. While there may only be two varietals at the moment, Allegiant’s new wine program was designed to be dynamic.
“We are only limited by our own creativity,” Sebastiani said. “We look forward to the next generation of Altus Sol wines!”

Customer safety is Allegiant®’s first concern. Please be advised that interference with the duties of crew members, including flight attendants, is a violation of federal laws. Our crews are thoroughly trained in all safety procedures. To ensure your own safety, we hope you take a moment to review the safety information card located in the seat pocket in front of you. Seat belts must be fastened ANY TIME the seat belt sign is on, during taxi, takeoff and landing. Once the seat belt sign is turned off, you may walk around the cabin. Due to unexpected turbulence, it is strongly recommended that you keep your seat belt fastened any time while in your seat. Allegiant’s exit seating policy does not allow the use of seat belt extensions in the exit seats due to tripping hazards.

The use of small cameras or mobile devices for photography and video is permitted onboard provided you keep the purpose of your photography and video to capturing personal events. Photographing or recording other customers or airline personnel without their express consent is prohibited. Airline personnel reserve the right to prohibit photos and videos onboard the aircraft if it becomes a disturbance to them or other passengers.
