New Orleans Auction Galleries is pleased to present our Modern & Contemporary Art + Design Auction featuring an eclectic selection of paintings, sculpture, lighting and furniture, photography, jewelry and multiples. This auction celebrates the work of artists and artisans who have enlightened us and brought us together through shared visual experiences.
The auction includes a collection of fine art photography from the Estate of Laura Grannen, a longtime gallerist at “A Gallery for Fine Photography” in New Orleans. Also included is furniture and fine art from the Collection of Adam Lippes, and a selection of sculptural brooches once in the Collection of Margaret Ann Schon-Tilden, the authority on Modernist jewelry, from various American modern metalsmiths, including Armand Winfield and Daniel Macchiarini. Many of the pieces included in this sale are illustrated in her publications.
