Oils University 2025 is officially in the books and what an insightful two days it was!

This year, 12 member companies entrusted their employees to NIOP for an immersive learning experience designed to build knowledge, perspective, and connection across the industry.

BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Fifteen attendees came together from across the industry for two full days of learning, connecting, and growing. Together, our attendees took a deep dive into topics ranging from oil properties and chemistry, food and non-food uses, and biofuels, to consumer trends, risk management, futures/hedging/markets, logistics and transportation, farm-to-plate production, predicting the future, and more!

Attendees learned not only from the engaging presentations delivered by the Northern Crops Institute, but also from sitting side by side with six NIOP industry experts who generously shared their time, insights, and experience throughout the program. These experts Sabra Bertrand, Brian Owens, Tara Ryan, Andy Seagren, Nate Smithson, and David Tillman—applied their combined 200+ years of experience to enrich the content and provide real-world context to the classroom setting.

The result? A powerful mix of formal instruction, mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning that left attendees heading back to their offices with sharper knowledge, broader perspectives, and new industry connections.

We extend a huge thank-you to our presenters, our experts, and the 12 member companies that made this year’s Oils University possible

The countdown to Oils University 2026 starts now! Stay tuned for dates & details to come!
