CONDITIONS OF SALE The sale will be held subject to the Auction Sale Rules of Holstein UK and the Auctioneers General Terms and Conditions of Sale, both available on request. METHOD OF SALE All animals will be sold in pounds sterling (£) and a buyers premium of 5% (plus VAT on 5% buyers premium) will be added to the final bid price. All animals will be sold in catalogue order, unless announced by the Auctioneer. The following methods of payment are accepted (No cash or cheque) • Debit card • Business credit card only (2% surcharge added) • Direct bank transfer TERMS All purchasers please note that accounts must be settled in full at the close of the sale PAYMENT TERMS ON FIRST CHOICE LOTS Payment of 10% of the purchase price must be paid on sale day on Lots 4 & 15 with the remaining balance paid in full when the youngest calf is 2 months old. PAYMENT TERMS FOR EMBRYO LOTS Full payment is required by purchaser on sale day for Lot 8 COMMISSIONS The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commissions to purchase for buyers upon receipt written instructions MOVEMENT OF STOCK No animals shall be moved from the vendors holding until full payment has been received. The liability will remain with the vendor until the purchaser has received the Lot (s), at this point title of the goods will be transferred to them. Haulage arrangements must be agreed between the vendor and the purchaser. HERD HEALTH: All animals are individually blood tested clear of IBR, BVD, LEPTO and the older animals blood tested free of JOHNES. All the dams of the younger heifers are tested free of JOHNES. All the animals have been TB tested on the 28th August and there has never been TB in the herd. OVERSEAS BUYERS: The vendor is willing to offer cattle for export to N. Ireland and the Rep.of Ireland as well as to Europe (subject to health requirements). Animals purchased for export will remain at Molland Ridge Farm following the sale at the sellers cost and the buyer’s risk. They will be eligible for export the week following the sale. AUCTIONEERS FOREWORD Passion, is the fuel that has driven Molly Westwood to achieve so much in such a short time period and I believe the best is still to come. My first memories of Molly were at the National Calf Show in 2012 when Panda Alexa Fools Gold was named Champion Calf and her full sister placed second in the December Calf class. I was honoured to have those two black beauties headline the Black & White sale that year selling for 6,000gns to the Belle Holstein herd in Cumbria. The Panda Holstein herd has quicky developed since then into a world recognized brand renowned for breeding the best Red & White Holstein cattle. Fools Gold the foundation line that I’ve the already mentioned has been instrumental in the success story at Panda. Molly invested in Alexander embryos from the highly sought after Red & White Braedale Goldwyn daughter from Canada that carried the Variant Red gene. PANDA LEXANDER FOOLS GOLD RED was the only Red & White daughter from that initial investment and she has been a mega success. Now Excellent 93 with all her progeny classifying either Excellent or Very Good in several herds across the UK and mainland Europe. Her most successful daughter has been PANDA HEART OF GOLD EX92 who was Grand Champion at the National Holstein Show in 2019. Daughters and sons from Heart of Gold feature in this unique event. Every pedigree in this SPECIAL sale features either an All American, World Dairy Expo Champion, Royal Winter Fair Champion, Swiss Expo Champion, European Champion, All Britain or National Champion and all have an incredible ability to transmit. I have never been able to say this about any other catalogue before. CHEERS and OKALIBRA are known around the Holstein world and progeny from these two ALL TIME greats sell. I would like to give a special mention to Lot 8, an embryo by a mutually agreeable sire from PANDA UNIQUE CHEERIO RED a super attractive granddaughter of CHEERS EX95. Proceeds from this lot are being donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Charity. Sadly, Molly’s mum was diagnosed with MND and we hope this money will go towards hopefully finding a cure in the future.
