Please refer to individual sales for the respective Viewing days and times • Face coverings are mandatory for all persons entering the mart. These must be worn without exception while in the market including the sales rings and pens • To facilitate the Test and Trace system, all customers/visitors will be required to sign into the market. This process will include a declaration that they have not been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19, nor are displaying symptoms personally • Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the mart; however, it is strongly recommended that both consignors and buyers have an adequate personal supply and to use it regularly • Please follow instructions from market staff and security staff. A private security firm will be in attendance to assist H&H in ensuring social distancing is observed wherever possible • Strictly no private videoing/broadcasting on Social media, or phones etc in the pens or ring • If you are unable or do not wish to attend the mart but would like to bid on animal(s), then the auctioneers will faithfully execute commission bids for buyers. Please contact them and put your instructions in writing 48 hours in advance of the sale. General Information & Sale Notes Location: The Sale will be held at the Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, Cumbria situated close to the M6 Junction 43. Motorists (from north or south) should leave the Motorway at this Junction and turn west towards Carlisle on the A69. The Mart is within1/4 mile of the Motorway (filter left at the traffic lights) on the Rosehill Industrial Estate. Method and Order of Sale: All animals will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorised and announced by the Auctioneers. Conditions Of Sale: The sale is held subject to the Auction Sale Rules of HUKI and the Auctioneers General Terms and Conditions of Sale, both available on request. Settlement And Clearance Of Stock: Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official PASS, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement and all stock should be cleared from the sale premises on the day of the sale. Commissions: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase on behalf of buyers unable to attend the sale in person upon receipt of written notice and instructions received in their office not later than 48 hours before commencement of sale. Given the same notice telephone bids can be accommodated. To Whom It May Concern Cultercullen Dairy Herd Health Status Report: Johnes: Currently recorded there are: No red cows (A5) 3 amber cows (A4 and A3) 3 low-risk green cows (A2) All other cows are A0 or A1 (green) Of these, 6 are offspring of either amber or red cows. BVD: The herd has been screened negative for BVD as part of the Scottish Government BVD eradication scheme IBR: The milking herd is not currently vaccinated for IBR. Routine vaccinations: Bulling heifers are vaccinated for IBR, BVD and Lepto (not since 2019 when vaccine shortage) TB: Routine 48 monthly parish testing.
Other routine vaccines in the herd include rotavec corona for cows, pneumonia vaccines for calves (Hipra Bovis Somni Lkt and Myco-B One-Shot).

Foreword The CULTERCULLEN Holstein herd is an efficiently managed highly productive Holstein herd milked on a Lely Robot system. Since 2012 the herd has placed in the top 20 herds in the Agriscot Scottish Dairy Farm of the Year Competition that is awarded at Agriscot each November. Owned by the Marr family who have been dairy farming in Aberdeenshire since 1936, Cultercullen Farm is situated north of the city of Aberdeen close to Oldmeldrum. The Marr family have been passionate dairy farmers and had invested in a state of the art robotic milking system along with excellent youngstock rearing facilities however due to the broken milk marketing system we have in the UK they have been forced to cease milk production. Production is an impressive aspect of this herd with the current rolling yield averaging 11936kgs 4.05% butterfat 3.31% protein at the last test the herd averaged 36kgs with an average cell count of 111. The GENUS mating programme has been used for the past 12 years resulting in a uniform herd with impressive udders and strong legs and feet, no animals have been purchased since 2009. This is an all year-round calving herd that are managed in a state-of-the-art Lely Robot system, they are cubicle housed and a large percentage of the herd are in calf to sexed semen. The youngstock are outstanding with a large percentage of the in-calf heifers carrying sexed semen and the heifers are sired by MVP, APPLEJAX, ABS JONAS, LISSUE STAR & BALISTO. Health Status The herd is vaccinated for BVD and IBR. They are tested free of IBR, BVD & Lepto. Johnes testing has been practiced for years. No cows have tested positive for Johnes now for over three years. The herd is in four year testing area and there has never been a case within the herd
