Conditions of sale 1. The sale will be conducted according to the rules of the Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Breeders Association. 2. All Ewes must be guaranteed in lamb by the vendor at the date of sale. If any female sheep, which was described in the catalogue or at the time of sale as being in lamb, proves not to have been in lamb at the time of sale within 21 days after the day of sale the purchaser gives written notice to the auctioneers of his intention to return the animal, supported by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate that such sheep has proved not to have been in lamb, then the purchaser may return such sheep to the vendor. 3. All sheep will be sold in guineas and a commission of 5% will be charged by the Auctioneers on all sales. 4. An upset price of 150 guineas will stand on all sheep. 5. All sheep to be sold singly and in catalogue order. 6. All sheep will be identified with tags hung around their necks. 7. All sheep must be penned before the start of the sale otherwise they will not be sold. 8. Normal inspection procedures will apply and will commence from 8am onwards. The inspectors decision is final. 9. Black wool must be declared by the vendor at the time of sale but inspectors still have the right to reject sheep for black wool so extensive as to seem not true to breed type. If black wool is not declared and found by the purchaser before it leaves the market, the sheep can be returned on that day. 10. No shaving or clipping in front of the eyes will be permitted and sheep will be removed from the mart. 11. a) Any complaint for cudspilling must be lodged with the Auctioneers before the sheep is removed from the sale premises.
b) The return of a Sheep for cudspilling shall be a matter to be resolved between purchaser and vendor.
12. Whilst all sheep are inspected by Association Officers purchasers must satisfy themselves as to the correctness of any animal which will be their responsibility on the fall of the hammer. 13. The Pedigree and descriptions of the lots are believed to be correct, but not intended as warranty, and therefore shall be taken with all faults and errors of description. 14. All sheep are sold as correct in mouth and udder unless otherwise stated. 15. Any disputes will be a matter to be resolved between purchaser and vendor. 16. A claim must not exceed the purchase price of the sheep. 17. Entry Fees are Non Returnable. 18. Vendors are responsible for taking the sheep to the Sale Ring and returning them back to the pens after being offered for sale. 19. He sired the Reserve Champion RHS 2018 that went on to be a member of the Champion Interbreed Pair RHS. Dam is a maternal sister to £7000 ram sold at Kelso Ram Sales 2017 and his sire Craig Yr Orsedd E025 is a ram that has been used extensively and with great success in the Craig Yr Orsedd flock. 3543/H027 Gornal – Index 235. This ram has been used extensively in the Cassington flock over the last 3 seasons and has bred consistently well with some outstanding progeny including the stylish gimmer that won Overall Sheep Champion Ayr County Show 2018. As well as breeding tremendous type this ram is one of the highest indexed stock rams being used in the breed and sired the two highest shearlings in the breed in 2018 for Maternal Ability. 2832/K039 Elian was purchased at Builth Wells 2017 in partnership with the Watersyke flock. He was used on a few pedigree ewes in the flock last year and we are pleased with what he has produced, very sharp and correct with exceptional conformation.
