General Information & Sale Notes Location: The Sale will be held at the Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, Cumbria situated close to the M6 Junction 43. Motorists (from north or south) should leave the Motorway at this Junction and turn west towards Carlisle on the A69. The Mart is within1/4 mile of the Motorway (filter left at the traffic lights) on the Rosehill Industrial Estate. Timetable of Events:

Method and Order of Sale: All animals will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorised and announced by the Auctioneers. Conditions Of Sale: The Sale is held subject to the Auctioneers General Terms and Conditions of Sale (printed in this catalogue) and to the Auction Rules and Conditions of Sale from respective Breed Societies. The latter Conditions are not so printed but will be displayed in the Sale Premises and available to those purchasers who require them, in booklet form. Settlement And Clearance Of Stock: Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official PASS, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement and all stock should be cleared from the sale premises on the day of the sale. Pedigree Transfers: Cattle in the sale are registered with the respective breed societies and will be officially transferred and pedigrees for all these animals will be effected by the Auctioneers and the Society as soon as possible after the sale - free of expense to the Purchasers. Commissions: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase on behalf of buyers unable to attend the sale in person upon receipt of written notice and instructions received in their office not later than 48 hours before commencement of sale. Insurance: Facilities will be available (through H&H Insurance Brokers Ltd.) for buyers to insure their animals for transit and other risks, from the fall of the hammer. IN CALF HEIFERS Lots 84-95 (12 entries) HENNIKERS HERD FOREWORD The Hennikers herd was established in 2000 and was based in the south east of England in the wine growing region of Kent before relocating to Staffordshire in 2018. Trevor Warren and his family are farming celebrities having appeared in in TV series The Farmers Country Showdown in 2017. Breeding strong functional Holstein cattle has been at the forefront of the breeding programme at Hennikers since the herd was established. Cow families that excel in longevity and strength have provided a solid foundation for this up and coming herd to flourish. The herd is averaging 9200kgs at 4.10% butterfat and 3.45% protein and the average classification score Very Good 85 points with 56% milking heifers. The successful use of sexed semen and the lack of winter accommodation have been the two main factors in this sale of heifers.
Herd Health
The herd is tested free of BVD and vaccinated to protect status. The herd is vaccinated for Lepto. All of the dams have been screened clear of Johnes, the herd has tested for Johnes for 15 years and has had no positive cases for the past three years. The herd is originally from Kent a four year TB testing area and since moving to Staffordshire has been in an annual testing area. The last herd test was in October 2020
