General Information & Sale Notes Location: The Sale will be held at the Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, Cumbria situated close to the M6 Junction 43. Motorists (from north or south) should leave the Motorway at this Junction and turn west towards Carlisle on the A69. The Mart is within1/4 mile of the Motorway (filter left at the traffic lights) on the Rosehill Industrial Estate. Timetable of Events:

Method and Order of Sale: All animals will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorised and announced by the Auctioneers. Conditions Of Sale: The sale is held subject to the Auction Sale Rules of HUKI and the Auctioneer General Terms and Conditions of Sale, both available on request. Settlement And Clearance Of Stock: Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official PASS, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement and all stock should be cleared from the sale premises on the day of the sale. Pedigree Transfers: Cattle in the sale are registered with the respective breed societies and will be officially transferred and pedigrees for all these animals will be effected by the Auctioneers and the Society as soon as possible after the sale - free of expense to the Purchasers. Commissions: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase on behalf of buyers unable to attend the sale in person upon receipt of written notice and instructions received in their office not later than 48 hours before commencement of sale. Given the same notice telephone bids can be accommodated. Insurance: Facilities will be available (through H&H Insurance Brokers Ltd.) for buyers to insure their animals for transit and other risks, from the fall of the hammer. TB PRE-MOVEMENT TESTING All cattle over the age of 41 days moving out of yearly testing herds must be pre-movement tested within 60 days prior to sale. A completed veterinary TB Test Report (TB52) or a veterinary certificate must also accommpany the animals to the market as confirmation of test.

Notice to all Visitors and Traders Please read and observe the following: • Excessive dirty vehicles will not be allowed entry, therefore ensure vehicle is clean before arrival. • All vehicles transporting livestock will be subject to a documentation check before entry to market site. • All visitors and traders must ensure they wear clean clothing and footwear before entering market site. • All visitors and traders using car park areas please use main entrance. • All persons delivering livestock to mart must park on the hardcore area at the back of the site and then proceed along the designated route to the biosecurity control next to the supervisors office. • Hauliers and farmers delivering livestock must disinfect their boots before and after loading or unloading. • Livestock purchased or unsold will not be allowed to move unless an authorised “pass slip” has been issued by the main office. • No livestock will be allowed to remain on the premises after a sale. • Only staff, livestock hauliers, owners or their agents are permitted to load or unload livestock. • Wash hands thoroughly when leaving livestock pennage areas. • Please observe our staff’s instructions at all times.

COMPLETE DISPERSAL OF HIGH THREE MARK HERD On behalf of Messrs Brown, High Three Mark, Stoneykirk, Stranraer Comprising: 50 FRESH AUTUMN CALVERS 80 SPRING CALVERS (Due Feb/Mar) & 130 YOUNG-STOCK The High Three Mark herd of Holstein Friesian cattle tick all the boxes on Health, Production, Longevity and are coming to the market following the sale of High Three Mark Farm earlier this year. The cows are managed on a grazing system with two thirds of the herd calving in the Spring and the rest calving in the Autumn. Currently the herd is averaging 7026kg 4.19% butterfat 3.37% protein with only a ton of concentrate purchased. The 50 Autumn calvers are averaging 30kgs. The Spring calving animals are all confirmed pregnant for February/ March to the Holstein Friesian & swept up by the Limousine. This is a young herd with 54 HEIFERS & MILK & 48 SECOND CALVERS SELLING. The Young-stock are well grown and display huge potential. There are 29 in calf Holstein Friesian heifers due Feb/Mar; 27 bulling heifers, 30 yearling heifers 14-16m; 28 strong spring born heifer calves & 20 heifer calves born Autumn 2016.
