General Information & Sale Notes Location: The Sale will be held at the Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, Cumbria situated close to the M6 Junction 43. Motorists (from north or south) should leave the Motorway at this Junction and turn west towards Carlisle on the A69. The Mart is within1/4 mile of the Motorway (filter left at the traffic lights) on the Rosehill Industrial Estate. Timetable of Events:

Method and Order of Sale: All animals will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorised and announced by the Auctioneers. Conditions Of Sale: The Sale is held subject to the Auctioneers General Terms and Conditions of Sale (printed in this catalogue) and to the Auction Rules and Conditions of Sale from respective Breed Societies. The latter Conditions are not so printed but will be displayed in the Sale Premises and available to those purchasers who require them, in booklet form. Settlement And Clearance Of Stock: Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official PASS, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement and all stock should be cleared from the sale premises on the day of the sale. Pedigree Transfers: Cattle in the sale are registered with the respective breed societies and will be officially transferred and pedigrees for all these animals will be effected by the Auctioneers and the Society as soon as possible after the sale - free of expense to the Purchasers. Commissions: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase on behalf of buyers unable to attend the sale in person upon receipt of written notice and instructions received in their office not later than 48 hours before commencement of sale. Given the same notice telephone bids can be accommodated. Insurance: Facilities will be available (through H&H Insurance Brokers Ltd.) for buyers to insure their animals for transit and other risks, from the fall of the hammer. TB PRE-MOVEMENT TESTING All cattle over the age of 41 days moving out of yearly testing herds must be pre-movement tested within 60 days prior to sale. A completed veterinary TB Test Report (TB52) or a veterinary certificate must also accommpany the animals to the market as confirmation of test.

Notice to all Visitors and Traders Please read and observe the following: • Excessive dirty vehicles will not be allowed entry, therefore ensure vehicle is clean before arrival. • All vehicles transporting livestock will be subject to a documentation check before entry to market site. • All visitors and traders must ensure they wear clean clothing and footwear before entering market site. • All visitors and traders using car park areas please use main entrance. • All persons delivering livestock to mart must park on the hardcore area at the back of the site and then proceed along the designated route to the biosecurity control next to the supervisors office. • Hauliers and farmers delivering livestock must disinfect their boots before and after loading or unloading. • Livestock purchased or unsold will not be allowed to move unless an authorised “pass slip” has been issued by the main office. • No livestock will be allowed to remain on the premises after a sale. • Only staff, livestock hauliers, owners or their agents are permitted to load or unload livestock. • Wash hands thoroughly when leaving livestock pennage areas. • Please observe our staff’s instructions at all times.

LISMULLIGAN HERD Foreword
This is the sixth annual reduction sale of the Lismulligan herd owned by the Lawson family who farm near Largoward, Fife in Scotland. The Lismulligan prefix has been registered since 1965 when the first pedigree cattle were purchased from the Barbican herd of the late David Heenan. The ability to continually sell heifers from the herd is testament to the fertility, longevity and durability of the cows that make up the 150 strong British Friesian herd currently averaging 6686 4.08% 3.43% with an impressive Calving Interval of 373 days. THE BEST HEIFERS SELL FROM LISMULLIGIAN In the last Lismulligan Young-Stock sale we sold a number of Lismulligian Mufasa daughters who topped that sale and have went on to develop into fine milking cows. Lismulligan Myra 47 sired by Collycroft Solo is bred from a sister to Mufasa and is one of the stars in this event. Her dam is an EX91 Deangate Prince 2 with over 50 ton lifetime followed by the 100 ton Lismulligan Myra 27 EX95. Raby Jazzman sires almost half of the heifers in the sale. He is a Marshside Discovery 2 son from the hottest British Friesian cow in the breed Raby Jasmine 59 EX94 who was Grand Champion at the Dairy Event in 2016. One of his fancy daughters is Lismulligan Myra 48 who is a granddaughter of Lismulligian Myra 27 EX95 LP100. TOP SIRES Sire selection has been has been a key factor in the herd success, concentrating on sound legs and feet has produced positive results. Classification for legs and feet in the Lismulligan herd is now in the top percent of UK Friesian herds. Stock sires from Terrington and more recently the Catlane and Culverness herds have made a major contribution to the success of the herd. The heifers selling are sired by Raby Jazzman, Lismulligan Mufasa, Morcourt Regan, Lismulligan Regal, Bricroft Gunner, Dengate Harris, Collycroft Solo, Deangate Quadrant, Deangate Tex, Carrickshock Naut and Lismulligan Enforcer. DAIRY SHORTHORN STARS The Lisnamulligan Milking Shorthorn herd continues to be successful at the National Show having recently won Grand Champion at the Royal Highland Show this year with Winbrook Vi 143 EX92 sired by Marleycote Thunder. Her ultra fancy Fairway daughter sells. Dairy Shorthorn heifers are sired by Glanhirwen Prince and Dunham Aristocrat.
