Iron Worker’s Union Hall

The Ironworker's Trade Union Hall was a semester long studio project which focused on creating spaces for advocacy, training in the metalwork trade, and community making. The site is located in an unfinished urban renewal project in Philadelphia proposed by Phillip Johnson. In addition to the building itself, a major focus of the final design is continuling Philip Johnson’s design idea and restoring the surrounding areas to encourage pedestrian use and community building.

Union Market Charette

This project aims to strengthen the streetscape and urban fabric surrounding Union Market. It establishes a clearly defined Union Market District through mixed-use residential buildings that shape and activate the public realm, framing new streets, parks and a civic square on the north side of Florida Avenue at the eastern edge of the Union Market District in Washington, DC.

Pompidou Center

In 2022, I visited the building that convinced me to become an architect: the Pompidou Center. Watching how people gathered in the plaza, moved through the building, and engaged with one another showed me how architecture can shape social life. The space felt open, accessible, and welcoming, rather than formal or intimidating. That experience inspired me to want to create architecture that brings people together and activates public life in the same way.

One Condado

For this project, I built a fully hand-crafted physical model to support design presentations for a luxury residential condominium in Condado, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The process strengthened my ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate two-dimensional plans into three-dimensional form. It deepened my understanding of apartment layouts, while refining my manual craftsmanship and attention to detail in modelmaking.

CUA Tree Pavilion

This was my first design project. It is located on the Catholic University of America campus. The pavilion is designed to mimic and extend an artificial tree canopy. Inspired by the existing trees on the site, a series of metal “trees” filter sunlight and subtly guide movement, encouraging visitors to slow down and engage with the space. Drawing on the campus’s natural, spiritual, and educational themes, the design creates a unique and contemplative experience for students.
