From car-meets on weekends, to long road trips; the Tesla Model G serves as an extension of his eclectic personality.

PROJECT THEME

ORGANIC FORM SIMPLISTIC DESIGN

The future of transportation will be much more involved around customization; both aesthetically and technically. Cars will be as individual as the owner, with many interchangable parts depending on their lifestyle. The Model G is built around tuners, allowing them to swap parts easily in the comfort of their garage.

Triangular air-wedges are located at the base of both the front and rear arms to redirect air around the vehicle.

MORPHING ORGANIC PURISM

Bio-flex steering straps wrap around the forearm; from even the slightest finger twitch these tiny sensors understand the drivers input and move the vehicle accordingly.

Similar to the bio-form of the exterior, I translated that design language to the interior with the inspiration of cells. The self-errecting seats are composed of air expansion bubbles that work together to form volumes.

COMORT COMMUNICATION

IDEATION

I began this project by centering around the occupants, designing from the interior, outwards. My solution offers a realxing lounge-type atmosphere within the cabin. Passengers can freely rotate and recline in a morphing interior. The lively experience spreads itself to the exterior through new solutions in aerodynamics and steering. Overall styling is inspired by both water and air.

For about a year I saw this painting at the window of an old art shop on my commute to school. Inspired by it’s beauty, I commited my thesis project to reflect the work’s message.

6 wheels: P34 inspiration

With six independantly thinking disc wheels, JAC Ariel can pivot on itself similar to NASA’s space rovers. This advancement, grouped with the magnetic steering orb located in the rear helps guide the four-meter vehicle and allows for very smooth and tight turns.
