In the book you will follow the main character, Hero, on a journey of self-discovery as she reflects on the project. The goal of this project & its representation is to transport the user back to childhood, a time of growth & learning which is why we have chosen to revitalize a mundane parking garage located on 9th & O into an engaging public park & playground. Not only does this project add much needed recreation & green space to the heart of downtown, but it delivers an educational commentary on the stereotypes & biases we express through language towards women & femininity. In a time of social unrest, political upheaval, & global crisis due to the events that have unfolded during 2020, there is no better time to provide a safe, welcoming, & reflective space for the public.
