Nilesh Waghela is a retired independent business advisor. Born in 1955 in York, England, Waghela went on to study at York University, gaining a degree in Business Studies. Soon after, Waghela began a successful career as an independent business advisor, working alongside his clients to improve their business strategies. In his role as an advisor, Waghela aimed to expand each client’s knowledge and skills in business, assisting with problem solving and working on their company’s strategy and planning. Having retired from his profession, Waghela now enjoys playing tennis and chess, as well as playing the piano. As an admirer of Michael E. Porter, the American academic and professor at Harvard Business School, Waghela has read many of Porter’s books including titles such as ‘Competitive Advantage of Nations’, ‘Competitive Strategy’ and ‘On Competition’.
