NIL Club
For many years, college athletes were not allowed to earn money from their brand. However, following growing concerns over competitive balance and litigation in 2021, the NCAA revised its policies, allowing student-athletes to profit from their name, image, and likeness (NIL). In 2025, the NCAA further revised its rules, removing the restriction on athletes negotiating NIL deals before enrolling at a university. While these changes were underway, two college athletes and a passionate sports fan launched YOKE in 2020, the technology that powers the NIL Club ecosystem. They saw an opportunity for college athletes to benefit from their NIL rights by connecting directly with fans. They created an app to help athletes strengthen their brands and generate income. NIL Club is a platform that enables both college and high school athletes to earn money through their NIL. It provides a transparent environment where athletes can connect with fans, build their brand, and create recurring income streams. The platform prioritizes compliance and student well-being, making it a reputable choice for both schools and families. Today, NIL Club supports over 20,000 teams and groups, with more than 250,000 participating students who have collectively earned over $16 million. Fans support their favorite teams and athletes by subscribing to their NIL Club, gaining access to exclusive content while financially supporting athletes through monthly membership fees. These subscriptions can be canceled at any time, giving fans flexibility and control. YOKE’s software enables athletes to participate in NIL Clubs without interfering with their academic or athletic schedules, focusing on team-wide success and fairness. Athletes are compensated for the use of their name and image in club materials, promoting the club, and creating content for members. All proceeds from membership fees are pooled and distributed equally among participating athletes, ensuring that everyone benefits, regardless of their recognition.
