SCHOOL COMMUNITY
Founded in 1934, The International School Nido de Aguilas is a private non-profit, co-education college preparatory day school that serves 1394 students from more than 48 nationalities in grades Pre-K through 12. In High School, 50% of students are Chilean, 14% are US citizens and 36% are citizens of other countries. Nido is the official U.S. State Department Office of Overseas Education School in Chile and serves the international business and diplomatic communities as well as Chileans seeking an English language-based, liberal arts education that is influenced by US and Chilean thought and tradition.

The class of 2025 consists of 132 students of which: 100% are Nido (U.S.) Diploma candidates 61% are International Baccalaureate Diploma candidates 57% are enrolled in the Chilean National Diploma 33% are enrolled in all three Diplomas 96% are taking one or more IB certificates (not IBDP candidates)

Nido de Aguilas is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the United States and recognized by the Chilean Ministry of Education. Nido is fully authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School to offer the Diploma Program. Nido is a member of the Association of American Schools of South America and the National and International Associations of College Admissions Counseling.
