A Powerful Educational Experience Students pursuing our Finance concentration will gain insight into the key sub-areas of finance, including corporate finance, investment analysis and portfolio management. The emphasis is on the application of finance, economics, accounting, and statistics. Students are able to gain an understanding of the structure, function, and operation of the equity, fixed income, and derivatives markets. Additionally, students will be prepping for professional licensing and certification opportunities. A Cutting-Edge Curriculum Understanding the factors that drive prices in financial markets is a critical skill in a graduate business education. These courses deal with the theories, analysis, and management of investments in the global capital markets. The international flow of funds, exchange rates, political and inflation risks, along with capital structure, cash management and more. The management of the Monteagle Fund, Niagara Universities Student Managed Investment Fund, is an integral part our Finance program. The Fund has a portfolio value of over $450,000 and is comprised of both stock, bond, and Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investments. Operated as a course, students are assigned to Sector Coverage teams to monitor the performance of investments within their sector. Coverage teams also have the responsibility to propose investments in their sectors that meet the Monteagle Fund investment objectives.
