The Niagara College School of Environmental and Horticultural Studies, located at the 125-acre Niagara-on the-Lake (NOTL) campus, acts as a living lab for students. Located at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, the NOTL campus features Ontario’s largest training greenhouse, newly renovated landscape design studio and computer lab; a heated landscape workshop; 15 acres of student-restored wetlands; and is Canada’s first nationally recognized post-secondary wildlife sanctuary.
With students responsible for maintenance of the campus landscape, the School focuses strongly on applied, hands-on learning experiences on campus and via co-op placements and work terms in addition to applied research projects. Programs are taught by expert faculty and developed to meet industry demand.
Our Niagara College Teaching Greenhouse is an educational greenhouse serviced by students of Niagara College’s horticultural programs. It is open to the public year round, and features great seasonal specials.
