RISING NOTES ... On 8th May Dr Sole, Director of Junior School Music, and Mr Janik, one of our accomplished piano teachers, gave a wonderful performance at Rising Notes, our first-ever concert in support of the Parents’ Bursary Appeal. With Dr Sole on cello and Mr Janik on piano, the audience of NHEHS friends and families was treated to a beautiful programme of timeless classics – from Dvořák to Zimmer – brought to life with humour and storytelling that delighted both children and adults. Dr Sole also spoke passionately about the power of music in education, and the importance of making it accessible to those who might not otherwise experience it. With some generous match-giving, £2300 was generously donated to widen access to amazing opportunities for young women. Thank you!
