SPORTS REPORT SUMMER 2025 PE Department Sports Newsletter
Success in the final term of 2024/25! Written by Mr Bennett Thank you for all your efforts and hard work this academic year, in what has been one of the most successful years for sport at NHEHS in recent memory. This term alone has seen students excel across cricket, tennis, athletics, water polo and dance. The U13 and U15 cricket teams had an impressive season, both reaching the County semi-finals. The U13 team also went on to make a bit of school history by becoming the first school team to reach the third round of the National Cup. Tennis also saw standout performances, with the U18 team reaching the regional final of the Aberdare Cup, and two pairs reaching the knockout stages at the Independent Schools National Championships. In athletics, both our Junior and Inter teams qualified for the Regional A Finals of the English Schools’ Track and Field Cup, while a record number of students represented Ealing at the Middlesex Championships. Remarkably, we also had three students: Sofia B, Natasha B and Minna W, all of whom qualified for the English Schools’ Athletics National Championships. The U13 water polo team finished 5th at the National Finals, and 60 dancers took part in the regional heats of the Great Big Dance Off at Cadogan Hall, performing with passion and pride. Sports Day was a brilliant celebration of sporting achievement, with 14 school records broken and strong performances in the Jessica Ennis-Hill Cup across all year groups. Congratulations to all those who have contributed to such a successful and inspiring term of sport. We now look ahead with excitement to another year of opportunity and achievement.
