SPENCERVILLE FAIR: A tradition that brings generations together
For generations, the Spencerville Fair has been more than just a weekend of midway rides, exhibits and entertainment. It is a celebration of community, agriculture and the traditions that have helped shape the village of Spencerville. The fourhorse hitch was another crowd favourite as it made its way around the horse ring. For many visitors, however, some of the most treasured moments were the simple ones, seeing friends and neighbours along the parade route, watching children experience the Fair for the first time, and sharing traditions that have been
in the annual parade. The 170th Spencerville Fair was a particularly memorable celebration, marking a significant milestone in the long history of one of the area’s bestloved community events. Fair weekend offered something for everyone, from the excitement of the parade and the RCMP Musical Ride to the many agricultural and family activities taking place throughout the grounds. passed down from one generation to the next. That is what makes the Spencerville Fair so special. It brings the community together to celebrate its agricultural roots while embracing both old traditions and new experiences. After 170 years, the Fair continues to grow, evolve and create memories, proving that some traditions are worth keeping alive for generations to come.
