Buskerfest comes to town this weekend With support from the Municipality of North Grenville, title sponsor Urbandale, and our wonderful community sponsors, plus a little help from the Experience Ontario Grant, we’re able to bring you a festival that will draw thousands of visitors, showcase incredible talent, and keep Kemptville buzzing. Fun fact: last year we tracked postal codes to snag this grant—basically proving we have fans all over Ontario.

613.882.8856 Get ready, Kemptville! The 5th annual Buskerfest is rolling into town this weekend, bringing an extra dose of laughter, music, and jawdropping talent. As cochair of Logistics & Operations, I can personally tell you that this week our organizing committee has been juggling more Ts, Is, and coffee cups than a circus clown on roller skates. Of course, the Buskers are the stars of the show—check out this issue’s centrefold for their dazzling profiles— but behind the scenes, a whole cast of heroes keeps the magic alive. From volunteers to vendors, everyone is pulling their weight so you can enjoy a smooth, fun-filled day.

Vendors Galore!
This year’s Vendor Showcase is stacked with close to 60 insanely talented artisans and service providers. Think of it as a treasure hunt where the treasure is handmade goodies, quirky art, and more than a few “I can’t believe I just bought this” moments. Full details are in our centerfold insert— thanks to the NG Times for the coverage! Food, glorious food!
more rest stations and seating, but let’s be honest—bring a chair if you want the VIP comfort experience. Volunteers = Superheroes
A huge shoutout to our volunteers, without whom Buskerfest would probably resemble a chaotic clown car. Beyond the 10-person organizing committee that works year-round, 40 extra volunteers will be on duty Friday and Saturday. And yes… we even have a volunteer coordinating the volunteers. Someone has to make sure we all know who’s doing what, or else it’s just 40 people standing around trying to look busy.
We’ve got 8 food trucks and a lineup of dessert vendors scattered throughout the site—so you’ll never wander far from something delicious. Plus, our downtown eateries are open and ready to serve up more goodies (see map Big thanks to our in insert). After attendees sponsors! feedback, we’ve added

The “First Act” kicks off at the North Grenville Curling Club on Reuben Cr., packed with activities you’ll find in the centrefold insert. Think of it as a warm-up before the main event. The Big Day – Saturday, May 16th Prescott Street closes at 8am for set-up Event kicks off at 10am with Opening Ceremonies at the Community Stage (Prescott/Clothier) Local talent keeps the stage buzzing all day Event wraps at 5pm; street reopens at 6pm
Remember, buskers rely on tips, so if a performer makes you laugh until your cheeks hurt or amazes you with their skills, show them some love! Get ready for a Buskerfest to remember, see you in Kemptville this weekend!
