Opportunity knocks this Saturday, April 18, as Community Living hosts its 13th Comedy Night! Comedy Night is Community Living North Grenville’s signature fundraiser and a place where folks can celebrate diversity in the best possible ways. This year’s headliner is the inimitable Chris Pilsworth, a comedic magician who has performed over 8000 shows all around the world. When we engaged Chris two years ago the audience begged us to have him back. He’ll have you in stitches and leave you amazed. His show alone is worth the price of admission.

Wait – there’s more!

Auctioneer Hunter McCaig will regal you with stories, comedic scenarios and have you pulling out your wallet in record time. If you truly don’t want to bid, watching others engage in the live auction is fascinating. There’s something for every taste – a chair and headrest from The Great Adirondack Chair Company, a cubic yard of organic topsoil, a 5 hour deep clean of your home, dinner for four with wine. These are just a few of the items Hunter will have you bidding on. In addition

to entertainment, local business have stepped in to enhance your experience. Catered Affairs provides each table with a lovely charcuterie tower and Brewed Awakenings provides a selection of desserts. Our bar is sponsored by Kemptville Brewing Company and stocks wine and coolers in addition to beer. This is truly a wonderful evening out and a terrific way to celebrate and support the work of Community Living North Grenville. Program (ODSP) for clothing, hygiene products, transportation, personal activities and entertainment. Community Living believes that everyone’s life is enriched when all kinds of people participate in community activities. Funds raised at Comedy Night allow people to travel to work, to volunteer, to attend medical appointments and to meet friends. It can help someone pay for a gym membership that enhances their health. It can provide for a headstone and a Celebration of Life when they pass on. Funds raised through Comedy Night make many lives better. In 1992, our family relocated from northern Quebec to North Grenville because of Community Living. Of our four

children, one has a severe intellectual disability. We wanted a home where people would get to know our Jessica and where she had the opportunity to participate in the community. We knew that the key to her success, especially once we are gone, would be participation in an accepting community where she could make friends, listen to music, eat out and go for walks. Community Living North Grenville has provided all of that. Now we ask that this community help raise the funds that allow all the people supported by CLNG to live lives of diversity, safety and inclusion. Buy your ticket to Comedy Night to have fun and be part of something bigger!
