With a diameter of just 61 mm, the MTS62 is the most compact oil-free drum motor available todayengineered for hygiene, precision, and space-constrained applications where traditional drives fall short. Its fully sealed, maintenance-free design integrates motor and transmission inside the drum, eliminating external components and contamination risks.
Despite its slim profile, the MTS62 delivers consistent torque across all speeds thanks to advanced synchronous technology. It’s ideal for tight transfers, packaging lines, and inspection systems, offering reliable performance without compromising on control or footprint.

For custom and replaceable power cables, a standard terminal box is available, maintaining the minimum shell length.

Drum Motor Shell and Surface
Our drum motors are available with a wide range of shell designs to meet functional, hygienic, and application-specific requirements. All drum shell profiles can be supplied with integrated sprockets as well as rubber lagging.
Available configurations include:
Cylindrical or crowned steel drum shells surfaces

Thermal protection
The MTS drum-motor is fitted with a PT1000 thermal sensor. If necessary, we can also offer a PTC thermal sensor. The temperature sensor must be monitored by an external circuit, such as a frequency converter which switches off the power supply to the motor, if the maximum temperature is exceeded.
Frequency converters and servo drives
MTS drum motors are synchronous permanent magnet motors and must be operated using a frequency converter or servo drive between the mains supply and the motor.
