By Tara CAMPBELL PORT Stephens Council has elected its youngest ever councillor as Deputy Mayor. West Ward Councillor Giacomo Arnott was first elected to Port Stephens Council in 2017, and following the Council meeting on 13 September, Cr Arnott earned a new title: Deputy Mayor. Giacomo now holds the record for youngest councillor ever elected (at 23 years old) and youngest Deputy Mayor ever elected to Port Stephens Council, at just 28 years old. He takes over the role from Central Ward Councillor Steve Tucker who was elected to the Deputy role in 2021.
