SIBLING duo Caesar and Scarlett Lewis have once again won over the judges at the Quilt NSW, Sydney Quilt Show. Caesar an 8 year old in Year 3 at Wirreanda Public School won first prize in Junior Member A Up to Year 6. His quilt, titled Monster Truck, was an original design and won Caesar fabric, a book, and a gift voucher. News Of The Area spoke with Caesar and asked him what his inspiration was. He said, “I thought of doing something with wheels and I said let’s do a monster truck.” “We got one of my monster truck toys from my bedroom” “I drew a big monster truck out on paper and then we stitched the fabric on to the paper and then we cut it out in the right shape.” “The wheels are made from rectangles sewn together to make it look like a real wheel” “My next project is a stormy weather theme”
