VIEW Club celebrates 25 years By Pauline CAIN PORT Macquarie Lighthouse VIEW Club celebrated its 25th anniversary with a sparkly silver luncheon at Port Macquarie Golf Club on Saturday 11 April. VIEW clubs are dedicated to the voice, interests and education of women. In August and September 2000, Cheryl Corbett, the then National Councillor of VIEW Clubs of Australia, invited women to join a new club in Port Macquarie. A steering committee was formed and the inaugural dinner meeting was held in March 2001.

Police seek information into 2003 death of Harmony Bryant

A $1 MILLION reward has been announced as police renew their appeal for information into the death of Harmony Bryant, more than two decades
after the tragic incident in Bonny Hills. Minister for Police and Counterterrorism Yasmin Catley said the increased reward aims to prompt new information from the community. “It has been two decades since Harmony's death, and we hope that by increasing this reward to $1 million, that it will spark [something] in somebody," Ms Catley said.
