Local services combine to help Ollie thrive WHEN Nambucca Heads local Ollie Walshe finished work with a previous employer in the area, he faced some challenges finding work due to his disability. But he never let this hold him back. Ollie, a keen worker and active volunteer in his local community, needed some guidance when looking for new employment. He was connected to Anessa Edwards from local Disability Employment Service provider CHESS Connect who helped him build confidence in his job seeking skills, address employment barriers and link to local job opportunities. “Ollie is dedicated, hard-working and willing to learn,” said Anessa. “He just needed the right work environment to thrive.”

Anessa and the CHESS Connect team facilitated a collaboration between Nambucca Shire Council and Ross Cargill from local Labour Hire company Men at Work. Together they formed a team of support and arranged an employment opportunity for Ollie to begin work at the Council Depot. There, Ollie was connected to his work mentor Neale and the team at the Council Depot. Neale has been instrumental in supporting Ollie in the workplace, providing patient guidance, and assisting him to
build new practical skills such as vehicle servicing, oil change, equipment maintenance, towing and reversing. “I’ve been working with Ollie for a number of years now,” Neale said. “We first met him through Anessa at CHESS Connect and she was a real advocate for Ollie, always phoning and checking in, trying new approaches and making sure Ollie had opportunities to upskill. “What really stands out for us is Ollie’s development socially and his new-found self-confidence. “He’s come out of his shell, joins in the boys’ conversations during break and is confident now to show initiative at work.”
Ollie’s support team have continued to encourage him in and out of the workplace, organising training opportunities, manual vehicle driving lessons and upskilling in mainstream employment activities. “During his time employed by Men at Work and working with Nambucca Shire Council, Ollie has undoubtedly learned practical new skills and gained confidence in himself,” said Laura McMahon, Business Relationship Manager from Men at Work. “It is a privilege to be a small part of Ollie’s journey and watch him continue to grow as a person and develop within his workplace.”
EXPRESSIONS of interest are now open for Round 7 of the Stronger Communities Programme, giving local governing bodies and community groups an opportunity to nominate projects for grants of up to $20,000. Pat Conaghan, Federal Member for Cowper, said more funding would deliver the infrastructure and equipment our communities need to be successful and grow.
“This latest funding injection will support up to 20 projects across our communities, supporting jobs and delivering an economic boost to drive our recovery on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mr Conaghan said. “This type of investment brings people together by strengthening social connections, building community participation and delivering a brighter and more
vibrant future for communities. “In round 6, the Cowper community saw funding for the installation of surf life-saving rescue stations in Coffs Harbour, a new garden and outdoor kitchen for the PCYC in Kempsey and the purchase of new goal posts for the Macleay Valley Rangers Soccer Club, just to name a few. “I strongly encourage interested organisations to contact my office regarding

Macksville residents say SES Flood Forum future-proofing plans fall short FROM Page 1

NSW SES will provide to highrisk communities the opportunity to have two pre-deployed equipment cases that will contain the following: 150 sandbags, Retractable long hand shovels, Role of builder’s plastic, two roles of duct tape, two utility knives, First Aid Kit, Protective equipment (safe vests, goggles, gloves). These cases are to be either stored in the community locations or sent out to high-risk communities on the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a Flood Watch for riverine flooding. Equipment in cases will be used with pre planned dumps of sand. 2NVR up for broadcasting award By Karen GRIBBIN
2NVR Nambucca Valley Radio has been announced as a finalist in the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) Awards in the Outstanding Small Station category After last Friday’s announcement 2NVR President Donna Collins said, “I congratulate all our presenters for their efforts throughout the year, being a finalist is so special. “Since joining 2NVR I’ve always looked at you as my family, we love doing our shows, and we do it with passion.” The following day 2NVR conducted their Annual General Meeting, announcing the new team which will take the station forward in 2022. Donna Collins opened the meeting with an acknowledgement of the Gumbaynggirr people, the Traditional Custodians past, present and emerging. The meeting was attended by 19 members, a mixture of face to face and Zoom attendees.

Earlier in the year 2NVR initiated the Station’s Emergency Plan, due to flooding events and then again during the two-week lockdown for Covid. The station has also mourned the loss of two long time and much-admired members of 2NVR in Robbie Handcock in April, and John ‘Simmo’ Simpson in July, a sad loss to the radio community. Some notable achievements were Rachel Burns getting the Nambucca
Community News off the ground, a newsletter containing informative interviews, history and information about the Nambucca Valley. Meanwhile Vicki Melouney co-wrote a song with talented country music artist Angus Gill.
“The song is called ‘The Apron’, it's a beautiful song and we congratulate both Vicki and Angus,” said Donna Collins.

entered into a licence with Nambucca Valley Council for the ongoing use of the facilities at Tewinga. This year required 2NVR to reapply for their broadcasting licence with the Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA). Ion Newcombe said, “I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to Donna for applying for the broadcasting licence, it’s a long and difficult process.”

Early voting encouraged by NSW Electoral Commission By Emma DARBIN NAMBUCCA Valley residents are being encouraged to vote early at the upcoming local government election, with all voters now eligible to vote before the Saturday 4 December election day and expanded eligibility for postal voting.
NSW Electoral Commissioner John Schmidt said that in response to COVID-19 all voters are able to vote early in person, postal voting eligibility has been expanded and for voters meeting strict eligibility criteria, iVote, the Commission’s technologyassisted online and telephone voting platform will be available at local council elections for the first time. “Local Government
elections will be held on 4 December but there are also several ways voters can get their vote in ahead of that date,” Mr Schmidt said. “Voter safety is paramount, as is ensuring every eligible elector in NSW has a chance to have their voice heard. “For the first time all voters are eligible to vote in person at any time during the two-week voting period when a polling place is open.” Early voting or pre-poll is available from Monday 22 November to Friday 3
December 2021, and any person enrolled to vote may vote by pre-poll. Recent amendments to the Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 mean that voters will have a longer period in which to apply for, receive and return postal voting packs. Postal vote applications opened on Tuesday 26 October, and postal votes must be received by 6pm on 17 December. You may be eligible to use iVote (online voting

Six of Tuesday’s cases are household contacts of confirmed cases, one is linked to a known case or cluster and the source of infection of one
case is under investigation. Three of the cases reported on Tuesday are close contacts of confirmed cases who attended a funeral at
Nambucca Heads on Saturday 23 October. The North Coast Public Health Unit is urging anyone who attended the funeral
to please come forward for COVID-19 testing if they have not already done so. An additional popup testing clinic has been established at EJ Biffin Playing Fields, Fred Brain Avenue, Nambucca Heads. The temporary drivethrough clinic opened at 12noon on Wednesday 3 November and will continue to operate on weekdays from 9am to 4pm. There have been 297 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak. The North Coast Public Health Unit is currently investigating the latest cases and contact tracing is underway. COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 805 tests conducted yesterday – 262 at Coffs Harbour, 258 at Port Macquarie and 207 at

Community Garden meeting By Karen GRIBBIN
SCOTTS Head Gardeners are meeting to discuss the approval of Community Garden plots in West Street next to the Sporting Oval. Nambucca Valley Council has given unanimous approval for the site, with questions around the existing sewerage pipes on one boundary of the proposed site. News Of The Area met with George and Elizabeth Driussi to discuss the garden proposal. George Driussi said, “This was the best site for the proposal, but the restrictions
due to the sewerage pipes mean a 300% reduction in the design recommended by community garden horticulturalists.” “The plot in West Street will allow most members to walk to the gardens, there are amenities, shelter shed, and water fountains.” The proposal is to create a horseshoe raised garden design with seating on both sides to allow gardeners to socialise while exercising outside. “Each member would have their own plot to work on, and we thought to plant some fruit trees to replace the existing vegetation to
the west of the block for residential screening,” said Mr Driussi. Paul Gallagher, Assistant General Manager, Nambucca Valley Council said, “The garden on the West Street site has been approved by Council. “In regard to the sewerage pipes the raised garden beds would need to be of a construction strong enough to be lifted off the sewerage pipes in case of a pipe rupture or leakage.” Scotts Head Gardeners appreciate the work and support of the Council in their requests for a community garden for members.

getting our proposal Council approval. “We’re just disappointed with the reduction the sewerage issue will cause, the other proposed area offered was the Raleigh Street Hill Top reserve, it has no amenities, or shelter, has a sloping gradient, and shaley surface, this made the area unsuitable,” said George Driussi. Tim Woodward, Green Space Coordinator, Nambucca Valley Council said, “It was never the case that the garden couldn’t go over the sewerage pipes. “But if there was no easement taken then gardeners would need to
understand, if the sewage burst or work was to be done on the pipes, then their gardens in this area would need to be removed or damaged without notice to carry out a repair process.” The community meeting is to discuss the process and to make decisions on the preferred site and recommendations. Regional Banking Taskforce A REGIONAL Banking Taskforce established by the Liberal and Nationals Government will bring welcome focus on the impact of bank branch closures on regional communities. Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan said changes to banking had noticeable effects throughout the regions, particularly across the Mid North Coast. “Residents right across my electorate are all too familiar with the on-theground impacts of dwindling banking services over recent years, so the establishment of this Taskforce is a welcome
development indeed. “The Taskforce will not only look at the impacts of branch closures but also look at what solutions may be available for the residents of Cowper,” Mr Conaghan said. Mr Conaghan said the Taskforce will bring together banks and other key stakeholders who will hold a number of regional round tables to assess how bank branch closures have impacted local businesses, industries and communities and work collaboratively to identify possible solutions. Minister for Regionalisation Bridget
McKenzie said the taskforce will provide a platform to establish how the transformation within the banking industry, particularly branch closures, has affected those living in the regions. “Having access to bank branches is vital for every community, particularly for residents who are unable to use online services to conduct their banking. “As we have heard, bank branch closures in the regions also affect the liveability of towns, and so I am pleased to announce this taskforce will be looking at how we can keep banking services in rural

Voices4Cowper Report VOICES4COWPER will release their report detailing the results of their public consultation held across Cowper. The report has collated the results of their Kitchen Table Conversations with 260 participants across 49 sites and will be launched online on Sunday 14 November at 4.00pm. Between August 2020 and July 2021 the incorporated association met with residents in the federal electorate of Cowper. The kitchen table
conversations involved community members meeting in small groups to answer questions about what they like about their area, how we can strengthen the relationship between local people and political representatives, and the issues of greatest concern to them. Ms Gillian Anderson, Chair of Voices4Cowper said, “The conversations covered living in Cowper, political engagement and representation, and the bigger issues beyond Cowper that were of most concern.” “While political, economic and housing issues were of major concern to participants,
the environment and in particular climate change, were raised almost twice as often as any other single issue,” Ms Anderson said. At the launch of the report the committee will share the ideas and issues that participants in the process identified as most important to them. Climate change and the protection of the environment were high on the list. Inequality in our society and the culture of politics were other matters that many participants flagged as needing to be addressed. Many other concerns were
identified and these are presented in the report. All are invited to attend the free online launch on Sunday 14 November at 4.00pm. Gillian Anderson said, “This is an opportunity for participants and other members of the public to have an input to where we take the report from here.” To participate in this event go to the Voices4Cowper website and complete the online registration form. and continuing to do everything that we can, including booster shots, to keep people safe as we open up.” Deputy Premier Paul Toole said regional NSW had rolled up their sleeves for vaccinations and we’re now ready to welcome back visitors. “Regions across NSW answered the call when we asked them to come forward and get vaccinated. “Thanks to the community for coming out and getting the jab,” Mr Toole said. “The time is right now for regional businesses to welcome back visitors safely in every town across the state and get tills turning over.” Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said reaching the 90 percent target will be a significant milestone in the state’s recovery. “We are inching closer and closer to returning to many of our pre-pandemic activities, and this latest easing of restrictions will be welcome news for hundreds of businesses ready to re-open, expand their operations, and welcome back more customers,” Mr Ayres said. Health Minister Brad Hazzard said NSW has amongst the most vaccinated populations in the world and rolling out booster shots would continue to maintain that advantage. “We are amongst the best in the world when it comes to vaccinations but we cannot forget that COVID will continue to circulate in the community and we must remain vigilant,” Mr Hazzard said.

BAD Sneakers were a big hit at the Nambucca RSL Halloween party last Friday as live music returned to the popular venue. After a long break from Covid restrictions, lead singer Rick Hoffma returned the faith to put on a show that got everyone’s ghoul on.
“We had a great gig at Nambucca RSL, so great to be doing live music, performing to a very appreciative audience. “Biggest crowd for a long time and the Sneakers kept them there, the audience were amazing dancing with their masks on. “The staff were awesome and looked amazing in their Halloween costumes, a big

THE Nambucca Valley has a diverse community of women from varied walks of life. Women with vast life experiences and endless creativity. Everyday women who work tirelessly for our community. Regional women who roll up their sleeves to help others, and motivate those around them to contribute to their own communities. This week News Of The Area is shining a light on the accomplishments of four extraordinary women who spread their skills, loves, and passions to the greater community. Roby Aiken is a local author who has given much to the Nambucca Valley’s writing community. Roby has been a longstanding member of the Nambucca Valley Writers Group as a past President and workshop presenter, with over 20 years writing experience. Her trilogy ‘The Traders Series’ was published a few years back, and she is looking forward to the launch of her new book ‘Crazy’ before the end of the year. She has been an active member and volunteer, donating her time to numerous workshops, local writers’ festivals and the promotion of the writing practice. Roby said, “Being a writer in a regional area is at times difficult, finding resources, and finding time away from family obligations. “For me one of the things I always advise budding writers to do is join a writer’s group, it’ll give you support and guidance from like minded people, and rewarding friendship.” Next in the spotlight is Elizabeth Newman, whose love of theatre, music, and writing spearheads her skill sharing to the wider community. Elizabeth is associated with local radio station 2NVR and hosts ‘Turning Pages’ and ‘Here Be Dragons’. “Turning Pages on Thursday’s is a platform for Valley views and voices,” Elizabeth said. “I promote a local artist each week, plus reviews, and interviews, just keeping the Valley up to date on what's happening in our local area. “Here be Dragons is mostly music that I like, the benefit of being

Elizabeth's association with the Bowraville Theatre is through her promotion of local plays, giving many a chance to express themselves on the stage that they could not normally access. Elizabeth said, “The stage is an interesting platform, and we run groups for children and adults. “We perform mostly local plays or monologues, the Blue Bird All Stars is a group I work with, and I love the looks on participants' faces when it all comes together.” Helen Scotta retired to Nambucca Heads with her husband and found volunteering a wonderful way to put all her work skills into use, as well as a great way to make new friends and community connections. In her working life Helen excelled in corporate sales, travelling extensively in the process. Helen loves people q Elizabeth Newman, radio and theatre presenter.

Helen said, “U3A has found it difficult with Covid restrictions, but we’ve still managed to maintain networking and a sense of community among ourselves.” Since 2018 Helen has volunteered at Riverside Care Nursing Home and the Nambucca Heads Information Centre and delights in telling people, “Let me tell you where you

can go,” with a smile and helping hand. Debbie Anderson has had a varied working background and moved to Nambucca Heads after retirement. 1. OVER the past six months Police had received numerous calls from members of the public regarding the excessive noise of loud music emitting from a unit block in Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads. A 24-year-old man at the residence was the subject of three Noise Abatement Directions since May 2021 and had
been issued with no less than three infringements for breaching those directions. On 23/10/21 at about 11:30pm Police executed a search warrant at the premises and seized a stereo system. The accused man has been issued with a Court Attendance Notice to appear before Macksville Local Court on 9/12/21 for the offence of ‘Make noise within 28 days of
noise abatement direction’. 2. On 27/10/21 at about 4:05am Police were alerted to an injured cow causing an obstruction to traffic on the Bald Hill Rd off ramp of the Pacific Highway. The cow appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle and had sustained significant injuries to its legs and was unable to stand. Police were required to
euthanise the animal and were assisted with traffic control by personnel from TMC until the carcass could be removed. 3. On 28/10/21 at about 5:08pm Police arrested a 41-year-old woman in Coffs Harbour following enquiries related to a domestic violence incident that had occurred earlier the same date at a Macksville address.
The accused woman was charged at Coffs Harbour Police Station with breaching an AVO and was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on 29/10/21. The accused woman was subsequently given court bail with the matter now adjourned to Macksville Local Court on 18/11/21. 4. On 24/10/21 at about 9:40am Police arrested
a 34-year-old man at a Tewinga address following enquiries related to a domestic violence incident that had occurred during the early hours of the same morning. The accused man was charged at Macksville Police Station with an Intimidation offence and was released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 4/11/21.

John said, “I love the mateship of the game, and the camaraderie is fantastic.” There is the local competition, state competition, national competition and also the opportunity to play cricket

THE Coffs Harbour and District Golden Oldies cricket club are up and running for the season, and the club welcomes new members. The Club originally began for people over 60, and owing to increasing numbers there is now a 50+ team as well. Noel Chapman, Secretary, said that the Club is “giving more senior people the opportunity to get up, get active and come and play together”. Training runs throughout the entire year. Grahame Doust, Regional Coordinator, said, “We are all passionate about cricket, and the Golden Oldies give us a chance to keep playing. “It’s a great way to participate in a team sport. “We train, we play and we get together for a chat and drink after the game. “The team becomes a bit of a support network, a men’s shed.” Noel said, “We are playing to win, but most importantly we are playing to enjoy.” Grahame told News Of

WITH a little rain during the week, the Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club course has come up a treat with good grass finally returning to the fairways and the greens have been sensational – perfect conditions for our annual ‘Island Classic’ which attracted 31 visitors, including a large returning contingent from Armidale/ Uralla. Luckily for everyone, the threatened rain event for the weekend turned out to be a bit of a fizzler – at Nambucca anyway! On Tuesday 26 October,

ON Wednesday 27 October the Nambucca Valley Archery Club held its final scored badge shot of the 2020/21 season. With another up and down season thanks to Covid lockdowns and changing restrictions to community sports, all the club's archers, both junior and senior, should be applauded for maintaining their focus and commitment this year when stepping up to the archer’s line. The monthly scored shoots are an opportunity for archers to improve their personal scores and earn the next badge in the points series from 20 points all the
way to a potentially perfect round of 300 points. The catch is that you can only earn each particular points badge once on each bow type so as you get into the higher scoring ranges consistency and focus

SATURDAY’S stableford event sponsored by Midcoast Storage was won by Rae Neill with a 6 under his handicap 42 points. This win was well deserved as Rae has regularly been seen practicing on the course since joining the Club earlier this year. Runner up with 41 points was junior member Jordan Welsh. Being tall, young and flexible Jordan will see shots come off his handicap quicker than he might like.
Along with Gus Single these two 14 year olds are A grade prospects. Straight shooters with nearest the pins were Allan Clarke, Steve Hosking, Steve Riddell, Dale Bunton and back from the wilderness Roy Rudner with two NTPs. Roy, a popular member of the Club (and stirrer), who quietly mentioned it was his best game in months, taunted those behind him on the score sheet about how easy the course was playing. The ladies Tuesday competition was won by Carmel Fruedenstein with
Lorraine King runner up. It's good to see the assistant pro from Coffs Harbour on the course on Sunday mornings teaching a group of ladies the finer points of golf. Hopefully these ladies will continue on to the Tuesday and Saturday competitions. Gary Clarke asked to thank all those volunteers who prepared the path for Monday's concrete pour to the first tee. THE Nambucca Heads Ladies Bowling Club have been lucky to complete more Championship matches in October, and a good group of spectators have really enjoyed watching the strong competitive games. In the Minor Singles Final, Nerida Blackford defeated Janice Cedelland in a terrific match. Both ladies took shots off the other, and it became fairly tense in the last few
ends, with both playing some great shots. Nerida came out the winner 25-21. The Major Minor Pairs Final saw new bowler Teresa Meehan match it with the three other much more experienced players, drawing to the jack on most ends. Teresa and Gloria Richardson got off to a strong start and Elaine Fleming played her usual slow start but then started to fire after 10 ends. Chris Davis also played some nice shots and their team got to within one shot
with a few ends to play. Gloria then pulled out her magic plays and she and Teresa claimed the title 21-14. In last week’s Thursday social bowls, Joan Haigh played her best game ever to help Nerida to a win over J Cedelland and K Dale; C Davis and E Fleming beat M Duffus and M Dwarte 19-14, and P James and Fletch beat M Montgomery and A Duffus 15-11. Alleged failure to care for late husband HENRY meets Mary, who is 20 years his junior. He has nine children to a previous relationship. Henry and Mary are married a year later. They discuss their estate planning and Mary tells Henry that she is happy to be treated as one of the kids, when it comes to the distribution of his estate. Henry wishes to be fair to his wife and his children and makes a will leaving 10% of this estate to Mary and 10% to each of his children. Under the will, he also permits Mary to reside in his house for three years. His eldest son is appointed as executor. Henry passes-away 20 years later after a lengthy battle with cancer. Henry’s estate consists primarily of his home valued at $1.5 million. Mary moves-out of the home after three months. She is uncomfortable living in the house without Henry. The house is sold by Henry’s executor and Mary rents a nearby small unit. She pays the rent from her Age Pension. She has no significant assets. Mary waits for her inheritance but it is not forthcoming. She reads several upsetting posts on social media alleging that she had not properly cared for Henry during his illness. Mary sees a solicitor and obtains advice regarding her rights. Court action is commenced by Mary, seeking additional provision from Henry’s estate. During the course of a five-day hearing, Henry’s children detail their complaints regarding Mary’s alleged failure to care for Henry, stating that it constitutes “disentitling conduct” which should prevent her from making a successful claim. All of the parties’ financial circumstances are examined by the Court. The Judge finds that Mary, as an untrained nurse, “did her best in the circumstances” and given her financial needs, awards her an additional $400,000 plus legal costs of $150,000. Wanton Destruction – Exploring the Root Causes DEAR News Of The Area, WE have seen various items in News Of The Area raising the problem of vandalism in and around Nambucca Heads. The Mayor has recently reported that vandalism in the Nambucca Valley costs the ratepayer in the region of $50,000 annually. It could be useful at this point to ask the fundamental question: why do vandals engage in such destructive, anti-social behaviour? It’s a complex problem and there are many possible answers. It could be that vandalism is an expression of hostility towards a society that offers the perpetrators little by way of self-realisation. Lack of opportunities for employment or meaningful group activities could be influential. Substance abuse could lead on from this and to finance this abuse, acts of property vandalism may follow in pursuit of financial gain to feed addictions. “ There could also be a factor of a lack of parental control of young people to take into consideration An interesting research project carried out on the problem of vandalism surveyed young people themselves and asked what they thought was the root cause of vandalism. In the eyes of these young people the two main factors they identified as being at the root of vandalism. Too much boredom with too little activity to occupy them and on top of this a strong influence created by peer pressure.

To succeed in an act of vandalism and to then report it on social media gives the perpetrator a sense of accomplishment in the eyes of peers. So peer pressure plays a central role here. So what can be done to approach solutions? Clearly it is vital to make positive activities available to young people and to support and encourage participation. This could be sports leagues, youth hubs, music, tech group activity, drama or a host of other possibilities. Let’s also hope that the new TAFE might help by offering more training opportunities for young people. A fundamental problem still remains. We have multiple employment agencies in the Nambucca Valley but few job opportunities - particularly for the unskilled sectors of our society. Young people need to feel that they have a stake in our community and to some extent that comes from meaningful employment. To install security cameras and to increase police presence in town is only a part of the answer to what is a complex and deep-seated problem. We need urgently to consider all angles and come up with some effective strategies for the future.

I will not diminish the importance of your question, because from little things, big things grow. Who knows what sort of liberties your neighbour may take in the future. “ Loud parties, leaf blowing near your washing line, solar reindeer that glow into your loungeroom at Christmas time, making you ponder landfill targets and the impact of climate change on the Taimyr reindeer in Russia, when you really should be enjoying a guilt-free Vodka, lime, and soda. It is, of course, near impossible to contain the contents of a runny dog into a biodegradable bag, so she has a point. However, she could have left a note to explain and then come back with a bucket of water to dilute the mess. Or she could have gathered some bark and grass clippings and at least covered it up, so no one walked through it. Alternatively, if she had a small, fluffy dog, she could have simply used it as a sponge. Regardless, I think your neighbour is lacking in both integrity and imagination. I doubt you'll have any more issues though, since she knows you're spying on her dog's bowel movements from the lofty heights of your balcony. Carpe diem, Jasminda.

The Valleys started steadily against Lower Clarence with Ben Pearce hitting 40 runs from 52 balls, Harry Bird with 31 runs off 21 balls and Justine Gilbert scoring 24 runs to set Lower Clarence a target of 128.
