Jim among the medals in state championship By Marilyn SANDERSON GLOUCESTER Bowling Club’s Jim Grech represented the region at the NSW/ACT Blind Bowls State Championship held locally last weekend. He competed in Category B1, “directed” by good friend and fellow bowler Rob Heininger, winning Silver in the singles and Bronze in the pairs alongside Graeme Innes from Cudgen Bowling Club. Jim was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease when he was five, also known as juvenile macular degeneration, a disease caused by a recessive gene, which affects the part of the retina responsible for sharp, central vision. Gloucester’s iron shed ‘Pumphouse’ slated for demolition

ONE of the popular features of the Gloucester Caravan Park is an old corrugated iron shed adjacent to the
