Trackside action at the Gresford Billy Cart Derby ANOTHER iteration of the iconic Gresford Billy Cart Derby is in the books. Crowds lined the safety barriers along Park Street as carts began arriving in pit lane in the early morning, before racing began around 9am. The atmosphere was electric as an eclectic mix of billy carts - all checked for safety - sped through Gresford to much applause. “We just loved the happy faces of the families hanging trackside, having fun at the awesome Gresford School games and enjoying the wonderful food and market stalls,” organisers said in a statement. “Thanks everyone for a wonderful day, especially Mother Nature - keeping the weather at bay all day
