Prudhomme’s plan one step closer to shovels By Mike Williscraft NewsNow A near-capacity council chamber was on hand Monday night for the first of two public meetings regarding Lincoln’s highly anticipated Prudhomme’s Landing development. A second meeting to review the latest design projections for the

project, which will generate new homes for 6,000-7,000 residents, was held Tuesday night, also at Lincoln’s town hall. Associate director of planning, Matt Bruder, gave a detailed overview of the project to date, including all the adjustments made in the design to date which accommodated concerns of both resident

and residents. “We want to make sure this is a place that people want to visit,” said Bruder, noting two years has gone into creating the development footprint to date. Bruder noted the project would include a Main Street feature with expanded space “to allow for patios and such” as well as other ame-

nities, a waterfront promenade, and more features. On the infrastructure side of the ball, the Town has included a 1218m buffer zone to the west end between new-build areas and the existing Victoria Shores neighbourhood at the foot of Victoria Avenue. See BUILD, Page 5
