or the 37th year, the Eldorado is bringing the sights, sounds and flavors of Italy to downtown Reno during the Eldorado Great Italian Festival. Held each year during Columbus Day weekend, the festival is a celebration of Italian culture and traditions and includes live entertainment, a sauce cooking contest and of course, pasta – lots of pasta. Don’t miss the Eldorado Great Italian Festival, October 6 & 7 in Downtown Reno.
FESTIVAL INFORMATION Saturday, October 6 10am to 6pm Sunday, October 7 10am to 5pm The Eldorado Great Italian Festival transforms downtown Reno into Little Italy with a grape stomp, wine walk, an Italian farmers market, food booths and incredible free, live entertainment all weekend long. A crowd favorite year after year continues to be the Great Italian Festival Sauce Cook-off. Italian families from across the West Coast bring their recipes to life right on the street for guests to taste. People’s Choice allows festival goes to text in to vote for favorite sauce. No
Italian Festival would be complete without plenty of homemade Italian food. Spectators are invited to “mangiare” - or “eat up” as the Italians say with plenty of delicious foods like chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, meat ravioli with Bolognese, tortellini Eldorado, Gnocchetti pesto, Italian sausage and peppers, fried ravioli, fried calamari and the ever-famous mushroom ravioli with porcini cream sauce. Complete your meal with a delicious dessert of homemade gelato, cannolis or fried bomboloni.

The Midtown Men reunites stars from the smash Broadway hit musical, “Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.” Formed in 2010, the vocal group has been widely praised for their signature renditions of the greatest rock and roll songs of the 1960s. Together, they have played over 650 concerts in North America and China, and have headlined alongside over 30 symphonies including The Boston Pops and The National Symphony. Now, they will perform live at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino. Featuring stories and songs, The Midtown Men’s acclaimed concert features classic 4

Golf for the pets, have fun and join in on the Italian Festival revelry. That’s the Paesano Open: Putt for Pets Charity Golf Tournament in a nutshell, and we would love to have you join us! Considered as the kickoff to the annual Great Italian Festival, this fun charity golf event takes place on Friday, Oct. 5, at the LakeRidge Golf Course. The money raised will benefit the animals at the Nevada Humane Society. Lunch and registration begin at 11am on Oct. 5. Format is four-person scramble with the shotgun start at 12:30pm. An awards party will be held for participants at Cin Cin! Bar and Lounge inside the Eldorado Resort Casino after the tournament.
