Easter at New Hall

Thursday 2 April - Sunday 5 April 2026

Easter People 2026

Following last year’s joyful re-launch of Easter at New Hall, the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre and New Hall School are delighted to invite friends and families to join us to celebrate the Easter Triduum 2026 at New Hall.

From Maundy Thursday afternoon through to Easter Sunday lunch, the aim of Easter at New Hall is to make our Easter celebration, with its various deeply human themes, relevant to all present. We will do this through creative liturgies, in different locations around the site, and using many different mediums, including music, dance and drama.

There will be opportunities for everyone to sing in a choir and to prepare and participate in the liturgies. We will share our meals together, and there will be activities, both lively and peaceful, for example: Stations of the Cross; prayer sessions; talks; baking; arts and crafts; swimming; walks; and an Easter egg hunt.

Living through the Triduum from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday is a deeply moving experience where we will be able to grow together in faith, fellowship and love.

Easter Triduum 2025

‘The Easter People of 2025’ brought together members of New Hall’s founding Religious Community, the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre, as well as students, staff, Old Fishes, returning friends from the ‘Easter People of 2004’, and new attendees for a powerful four-day spiritual journey.

In addition to the principal liturgies, activities included morning and evening prayer, a celebration of the Last Supper, the Stations of The Cross in the fresh air, an Easter egg hunt, family-friendly games and community meals.
