FIELD & FURZE

29 November – 19 December 2025

Photography: Mark Polyblank

Rebecca Polyblank’s work is inspired by the ancient landscape of Bodmin Moor and the poetry of Charles Causley, whose words evoke the folklore and quiet magic of rural Cornwall. Her paintings and sculptures capture the wild grasslands and native creatures of the moor, rabbits, deer, owls and butterflies, all observed from life around her remote farmstead studio. Rebecca’s palette of soft blues, greys and golds traces the seasons, as bracken and moor grass fade from spring through to winter. Her sculptures of horses, hares and birds, finished in tones reminiscent of weathered stone and lichen, share the same stillness and reverence for place. Together, these works form a tender portrait of a landscape where nature, myth and memory remain deeply intertwined.
