This exhibition showcases the work of eight artists who use the act of gathering or harvesting materials as an integral part of their arts practice. The exhibition includes paintings by Michael Porter and Francesca Owen, sculptural baskets by Annemarie O’Sullivan and Joe Hogan, jewellery and gathered objects by silversmith Stuart Cairns, ceramics by Patricia Shone, and applied textiles by Abigail Booth and turned wood vessels by Max Bainbridge of studio collective Forest and Found. It also includes a specially commissioned, site-specific installation by Annemarie O’Sullivan titled Fluent, which will be on show in the historic Fishing Cellar at Porthmeor Studios throughout the festival.
