In the first UK exhibition of Matthew’s work since his death in 2016, we present a collection of selected works which celebrate the brilliance and gravity of his career as one of Cornwall’s most important artists. The show’s title ‘Faster Than Words, Older Than Thought’ is a quote taken from Matthew’s writings on his own work, which always came about, in his words, in the raw manner of a ‘first experiencing’.
