MATCH DAY PARTNER
FROM THE COACH STACEY MARINKOVICH There is no doubt every team has had their challenges this season and will have some incredible stories to tell but regardless we are all so grateful and appreciative to be in the position we are doing what we love. No matter where we play, what day, night, state we have always felt the support of our green army and our loved ones at home. You are with us and you are very much a part of this journey.
What a season it has been and it’s not done yet. We have been climbing the mountain. One day at a time, one game at a time. No game is a given, everything is earned and Round 14 is going to be no different. Last day of the rounds you will see the top four teams battling it out for the final position on the ladder. There are so many things that can drive a team, so many external motivations but for us to be successful our motivation has to come from within.
This season has demonstrated that there is so much you cannot control in life but it has also taught us that there is so much strength when you unite through a strong vision and make a commitment to make every moment you have together purposeful and worthwhile. There has been so much growth across our group both on and off the court, both for players and staff and we know there is still more to come.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE SITUATION
The stakes are high in this top-of-the table clash, with the Minor Premiership and a spot in next week’s Major Semi-Final up for grabs. With top-four teams Fever, Giants, NSW Swifts and Sunshine Coast Lightning all locked on equal points heading into this final round of home and away fixtures, the winners of both matches will finish in the top two and earn a place in the Major SemiFinal. From there, the victor will progress straight to the Grand Final, while the loser receives a second chance in the Preliminary Final. On the other hand, the unsuccessful sides this weekend will finish third and fourth and face elimination in the Minor Semi-Final next week. The match-up between Fever and Giants promises to be a thriller, with only one goal separating the sides when they met in Round 5. The result in Fever’s favour came down to a Jhaniele Fowler penalty, which she converted after the full-time siren in captivating scenes at RAC Arena.
KEY MATCH UPS Courtney Bruce v Jo Harten Fever Captain Courtney Bruce has been in career-best form this season and was instrumental in defence during the Round 5 clash against Giants earlier this season with six gains and four intercepts. Her battle with Giants’ shooter Jo Harten will be pivotal, with Harten putting on an impressive shooting display in the last encounter against Fever with nine super-shots from 13 attempts to keep her side in the contest.
Jhaniele Fowler v Sam Poolman Fowler was the match-winner in the last meeting between the two, receiving a penalty on the final siren to secure Fever’s one-goal victory in front of more than 4500 screaming Green Army fans. Fowler finished the game with 55 goals from 56 attempts and has continued her impressive form in the shooting circle this season to sit at the top of the leader board with 733 goals. Poolman, who is an excellent match-up for Fowler in terms of size and strength, will be aiming to limit her influence on the outcome of this game.

MINOR PREMIERSHIP IN REACH FOR WEST COAST FEVER A win in the final round of the Suncorp Super Netball season against Giants will see West Coast Fever finish on top of the ladder to claim the 2021 Minor Premiership. Top-four teams Fever, Giants, NSW Swifts and Sunshine Coast Lightning are all locked on 32 points heading into Round 14, with Fever having the highest percentage. A win against Giants will see Fever qualify for the Major Semi-Final, where they will meet the winner of this weekend’s other top-four clash between Swifts and Lightning. Swifts and Lightning are the only teams to have defeated Fever this season, with consecutive losses coming in Round 9 and 10 off the back of a two-week break. Fever bounced back with victories over Thunderbirds, Vixens, Firebirds and Magpies, following an undefeated first half of the season, which included five wins away from home. Winning the Minor Premiership would be a fantastic reward in a Suncorp Super Netball Season unlike any other.

generation and sharing my knowledge to educate on the diversity of Aboriginal groups.” Ugle was drawn to the Shooting Stars opportunity due to the organisations focus on providing its participants with the resources to make informed choices about their education and employment journey. “Shooting Stars brings a cultural perspective to the education system, providing its participants with a safe space of understanding whilst teaching the girls how to cope in different situations and changing their attitudes towards school,” said Ugle. Collie is one of five sites launched this year, with Shooting Stars focused on working with over 1,000 participants by the end of 2021.
