BILL KENWRIGHT presents

Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (The Daily Mail). Lyn Paul returns to the iconic role she has played many times in the West End, in fact she was the show’s final Mrs Johnstone when it closed at The Phoenix Theatre in 2012. Lyn rose to fame as a member of the pop group New Seekers whose numerous number one hits include ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing’ .The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit, Tell Me It’s Not True.

After a long absence, Eddie Kerr’s sensational and hilarious play will be on the road again and the funeral cortege is en-route to the Forum. Twelve years ago the play went from a three week sell out run in Derry and a tour of Ireland, to receiving worldwide attention after a hugely successful sell out run at the Helen Hayes Theatre in New York. Packie’s Wake tells the side-splitting story of how local hero, Packie Devlin, through an ironic quirk of fate, is allowed to attend his own wake. The poor misfortunate has the opportunity to find out what his family and friends really think of him as he participates in the hysterical play that has become a theatrical masterpiece in black comedy.

The Mousetrap is famous around the world for being the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre, with over 26,000 performances in London. This record breaking 60th anniversary production is back by popular demand. The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed. In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner.
