A Note From the President

Fellow Cape Cod Chapter Professionals,
As the holiday season and new year approach, I would like to thank all of our Chapter Professionals for a fantastic 2025 season
We saw tremendous play from Chapter members throughout the 2025 golf season, led by Matt Baran, PGA of The Ridge Club. Matt captured four victories along the way to secure Dutch Wessner Player of the Year honors.
For those who were unable to attend the Cape Chapter Fall Meeting, Board elections were held. I would like to extend my gratitude to the elected Board moving forward: Frank Leja, PGA of New Seabury will serve as Vice President; Kevin Maynard, PGA of Sankaty Head will serve as Secretary; Greg Kelly, PGA of the Bay Club will serve as Tournament Chair; and Zack Sweet, PGA of Cape Cod National will move into the Honorary President Role. An additional thank you to Darren Falk, PGA of Holly Ridge for his lengthy term of service as he moves off the Board.
We look forward to a robust 2026 Tournament Schedule and greatly appreciate all of the host Clubs that continue to support our Chapter. We will also continue to work with our wonderful partners, and would like to extend a big thank you to all of them their support in 2025!
I hope you all enjoy the holiday season with family and friends and are able to take some time for yourselves this offseason.

Champions Corner
CHAPTER CHAMPION MATT BARAN, PGA
Matt Baran (The Ridge Club) made history at the 2025 Cape Cod Chapter Championship. He shot 1-under par ( 73-70-143) for the tournament at Sacconnesset GC & New Seabury-Ocean Course, to win his 5 Chapter Championship Tied with Chapter legend, Mickey Herron for most all-time.
SENIOR CHAPTER CHAMPION GREG YEOMANS, PGA
Greg Yeomans captured the Senior Chapter Championship, firing rounds of 73-79-152 (+8) in difficult conditions This was Yeomans second Senior Championship in the past three seasons, adding to his four overall championships.
MATCH PLAY CHAMPION MATT BARAN, PGA
Matt Baran kept his Championship streak running, also capturing the Match Play Championship. Matt bested the field of 32 Chapter Professionals who participated in this bracket style event.
DUTCH WESSNER PLAYER OF THE YEAR
MATT BARAN, PGA
It is no surprise that Baran won the Dutch Wessner Player of the Year Award with his fantastic Championship performances In addition to his Chapter Championship wins, Baran finished first in the Indy Pro at the ProSenior and Island Classic
