STEM Changemakers Programme MO PROJECT TEAM - TERMS OF REFERENCE MO PROJECT TEAM The project team is a group of 6 to 9 staff and/or volunteers based at the respective Member Organization. The group acts as an advisory board for the STEM Changemakers Programme Project at the MO level. It exists to offer support to the Project Lead in executing duties, providing coordination and shared decision making for the project over the course of its cycle. The members in the project team support and work closely with the Project Lead who is based in the country and are a good link between the Project Lead to MO’s wider members/leaders and vice versa. The Project Lead and MO Chief Commissioner (or delegated authority) will work in close tandem to provide leadership for this project team. COMMITMENTS OF MO PROJECT TEAM  Attend meetings as agreed by the team. These meetings should happen either weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on members agreement and are formal spaces to catch up on the progress of the project  Be actively engaged in project implementation through responding to communications in a timely way and provide feedback on resources and processes in both setting up and implementing the project  Execute tasks as assigned by the team or Project Lead on a rotational basis depending on different members roles, skills and interest  Make decisions about the programme such as budget allocation, approvals and requests/reports sign offs  Be accountable for the project budget and for reaching the project targets  Feed into report writing for the project helping to collect data  May need to act as a key contact person for WAGGGS STEM Programme Manager, in the absence of the Project Lead CRITERIA  Be actively involved in your Member Organisation (e.g. National Board member, Trainer, Leader)  Open and willing to take on tasks related to the project such as planning for trainings, testing of the packs, M&E, etc.  Able to access internet when needed for communication through mails and other platforms  Is self-driven and keen to learn new skills and work collectively  Have an interest in STEM awareness and advocacy, project management or youth development  It is desirable that you know about at least one of the following areas: non-formal education, MEL, communications (including social media), partnerships, accounting & finance, and project planning, implementation & management COMPOSITION OF PROJECT TEAM As this team will need to make key decisions on the project, it is important that members of the association that have decision making power and are responsible for the association’s finances sit on the project team i.e. National Board members such as Chief Commissioner, General Secretary, Treasurer. At least 2 members of the project team should be made up of young women involved in the association. As this team will be making decisions on the project on behalf of girls and young women, it is important that they are represented in this group (Please note girls and young women will also be able to contribute to the project design in the co-creation team which will be created separately consisting young girls and women) Ideally, everyone on the team has a specific role to play. You may want to base the recruitment of members of the project team according to these different roles or work areas. Below is a suggested outline of the different roles needed on the team. Please note this list is not exhaustive, and you may identify other needs and roles on the project team.
