Fact Sheet for Overseas Campers DATE
23 – 27 December 2024 (Monday to Friday, 5 Days 4 Nights) Participants are expected to arrive in the afternoon of 23 December 2024 (Monday) and depart in the afternoon of 27 December 2024 (Friday). 【Optional itinerary – Get to know Hong Kong local tour】 21 – 23 December 2024 (Saturday to Monday, 3 Days 2 Nights)
VENUE
Qiao Dopa Coast, Zhuhai, Mainland China / Optional itinerary: Hong Kong
OBJECTIVES
Through a variety of activities and trainings, the 5-day event aims to let the campers experience the fun of camping. Take part in cultural exchanges, visits and experiential activities, which could develope international friendship and facilitate exchanges with mainland campers for deepening the understanding towards the development of the Greater Bay Area as well as enhancing their sense of belongings to the Country.
ELIGIBILITY
Scout members aged between 14 and 26, and adult leaders aged 18 or above. Each patrol should consist of 9 Scout members and 1 adult leader. Each National Scout Organization may form more than 1 patrol. (All Leaders must obtain the WOSM certificate of the “Safe from Harm” e-learning course.)
JAMBOREE FEE
HKD1,800 per person (= around USD230 per person. Same for Scout member and adult leader) The cost will cover regular meals during Jamboree, transportation between Hong Kong International Airport and the campsite, general insurance coverage, camper handbook, Jamboree emblem, cap, scarf and certificate of participation. Participants are expected to cover their own airfare, travel and medical insurance and other personal expenses. 【Optional itinerary – Get to know Hong Kong】 Extra HKD2,500 per person (= around USD320 per person. Same for both Scout member and adult leader) The cost will cover accommodation in hotel from 21 to 23 December 2024 and transportation between hotel and the local tour. Participants are expected to cover their own meals on 21 December and after breakfast on 23 December, travel and medical insurance and other personal expenses.
EQUIPMENT
Participants should bring along their personal camping equipment, e.g. sleeping bag and mat, eating utensils, flashlight, raingear and sportswear. The details of which will be provided after acceptance of application. Tent and cooking equipment including stove and pot will be provided. A more comprehensive equipment list will be provided to participants in due course.
WEATHER
Average temperature in December is around 15 oC - 20oC.

Participants are reminded to check the visit visa / entry permit requirements / passenger clearance in force both for entering in Hong Kong and Mainland China before departure. APPLICATION
Group Registration Form (both the electronic and signed scanned copy) and the Overseas Campers’ Enrolment Form (Excel Form) must be approved and sent with all passport copies through National Scout Organizations by Tuesday, 15 October 2024 and the payment details will be provided in due course.
