Group highlights global emergency
Members and supporters of the Extinction Rebellion group in action at their protest in Motueka last Tuesday. During the Motueka Community Board’s public forum the group challenged the Board to declare a climate emergency. Board chair Brent Maru says the group’s presentation was welcomed and the board “certainly heard and took on the contents of their presentation”. We’ll have more on this in next week’s issue.
