We hope you enjoy your visit to our home, the Hunt neighborhood, and Fairfax Station.
We have been fortunate to call this house our home for the past 8 years, and to live in Fairfax County for the last 30 years. We chose this area to raise our kids, and looking back, it was exactly the right decision. They attended great schools (Oak View Elementary, Robinson Secondary, and Thomas Jefferson High), and benefited from many growth and enrichment opportunities throughout their formative years. We have had positive experiences with their teachers, their coaches, and numerous extra-curricular instructors, all of which set them up to be happy, kind, well-adjusted, and successful adults.
Our personal experience with the neighborhood is equally outstanding. We have great neighbors from diverse backgrounds who are happy to leave us at peace, yet always ready to help when needed. We have taken great advantage of being 5 minutes from Burke Lake Park, not to mention having easy access via Fairfax County Parkway to hundreds of restaurants (family-friendly, quick-serve, and fine dining), shopping, and recreation. We have also enjoyed quick access to two major airports and a commuter train station. And of course, George Mason University, with all that it offers, is only 15 minutes away.
As you wander through this home, you will probably notice the loving care that we put into it. We did most of the design ourselves for the finished lower level and master bathroom, consistently choosing quality over quantity. Please do not miss the beautiful and private back yard, and the large deck. We are moving out of the area for work, and the hardest part is leaving this home.
