Welcome from Mayor Kell Palguta
Welcome to Prescott Valley, the cooler side of Arizona! Nestled at nearly a mile-high elevation, Prescott Valley offers mild weather, four beautiful seasons and stunning natural scenery. With our convenient location, just 90 miles north of the desert cities and 75 miles south of Arizona’s high country, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.
Even as our population has grown past 52,000 residents, Prescott Valley proudly maintains its welcoming, small-town charm that draws friendly faces from across the nation. We combine the best of both worlds — big-city amenities with a close-knit community feel — and are proud to be recognized as the third safest community in Arizona.
Among our many Points of Pride is the 5,500-seat Findlay Toyota Center. The arena is famously home to our 2022 Indoor Football League Champions, the Northern Arizona Wranglers, and recently celebrated the arrival of a new USHL junior hockey club. Bringing a top-tier
athletic league to Prescott Valley offers a fantastic opportunity to support elite players on their path to collegiate and professional careers. It also adds to an already vibrant event lineup at the arena, which regularly hosts everything from concerts and professional bull riding to monster truck shows and community events.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore with more than 2,000 acres of parkland and open space. The Town boasts an extensive trail system, 20 multiuse athletic fields, a public swimming pool and an award-winning outdoor amphitheater. Our 26 parks are continually being improved to offer recreational experiences for all ages, from youth and adult sports leagues to fishing, playing and relaxing in the sunshine. Our dog parks and natural spaces offer the perfect place to let your pup roam free or for you to simply unwind.
Don’t miss Fain Park, a local gem located along Lynx Creek, where you
can try gold panning, fish in the fully stocked lake or enjoy a peaceful walk. For those seeking a challenge, the Glassford Hill Summit Trail rises 900 feet above town and rewards hikers with breathtaking views of Prescott Valley, the San Francisco Peaks and beyond.
And after a full day of adventure, savor a delicious meal at one of our many award-winning local restaurants.
Stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, and be sure to visit www.prescottvalley-az.gov to stay informed and involved in your community.
Welcome to Prescott Valley — your new hometown. We’re glad you’re here.
Warm regards,
Mayor Kell Palguta

Prescott Valley is a thriving community adding new builds all the time but with plenty of existing homes for affordability and sustainability. Its population has expanded from 38,800 in 2010 to its current 52,862.
The valley has been inhabited by indigenous tribes for millennia and became a hub for mining and ranching in the mid-19th century, but its residential development didn’t begin in earnest until 1966, so its homes are relatively new; more than half were built in 1990 or later.
Smaller and manufactured homes built for affordable residential and retirement living predominate in the western core of the town, while master-planned communities and subdivisions fan out to the east, north and south.
More rural neighborhoods are found primarily north of AZ-89A. All are near convenient shopping and employment areas.
The median sale price for Prescott Valley homes in May 2026 was $464,000, according to the Prescott Area Association of REALTORS® MLS. This is 1.3% lower than the same time last year, indicating that home values have remained relatively steady despite changing market conditions.
In Prescott Valley, you can live in a classic ranch or craftsman-style home, mission- or Tuscan-style charmer, luxurious custom property, upscale apartment or anything else you’ve been dreaming of.
One way you can begin your journey home is by searching the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce’s member directory for qualified, talented professionals at www.pvchamber.org/members.

The Civic Center, which contains the Prescott Valley Public Library, municipal offices and Civic Center Park, is tucked into its southeast side.
GRANVILLE
Prescott Valley’s largest masterplanned community straddles Glassford Hill Road north of Long Look Drive up to AZ-89A. It has several parks, two recreation centers, gym, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, homes for every kind of household and is just north of Findlay Toyota Center, the Entertainment District and surrounding commercial development.

THRIVE IN PRESCOTT VALLEY
Prescott Valley is considered one of Arizona’s safest communities and has rapidly expanding options to live, work and play.
Health — Its bright sun, fresh mountain air and closeness to nature beckon to everyone to come outdoors and walk, run, bike, hike, play sports and lead an active life. Convenient healthcare is available at Dignity-YRMC’s East Campus with a full contingent of medical practices.
Arts & Entertainment — High-quality movies, live concerts and plays and sports events are centered in the town’s Entertainment District, which includes the Prescott Valley Harkins 14, Main Street Theatre and 6,200-seat Findlay Toyota Center arena. It’s also the site of Prescott Valley Days and other community events.
Dining — The options are great and growing. The town is peppered with locally owned diners and cafes and restaurants serving everything from sushi to barbecue. Authentic Mexican cuisine, spicy Thai feasts and meals overlooking a golf course are just a few of the choices. A brewery and a wine bar provide excellent libations too.
Golf — Speaking of golf, don’t forget Prescott Valley’s courses offer the best our community has to offer — outdoor fun with spellbinding mountain views and a challenging but convivial atmosphere.
Day trips — When you’re ready to hit the road, there are plenty of nearby attractions so enchanting you could easily spend more than a day in any one of them!
When a community can take ownership of its direction, so many great things can happen. Here in Prescott Valley those great things are happening.

History
From Lonesome Valley to Prescott Valley, A Community Shaped by Change
A thriving pueblo community once occupied the south side of Lynx Creek in what is now Fain Park. Built using large granite slabs gathered from nearby outcroppings, the settlement featured dozens of rooms and served as an important center of activity for centuries.
The arrival of miners and settlers brought new economic activity to the valley. Hydraulic works,
dams and early infrastructure helped establish the foundation for the community that would eventually become Prescott Valley.
As ranching expanded across the grasslands of Lonesome Valley, the area developed a strong agricultural identity that would define the region for generations.
Over time, large ranch holdings gave way to planned neighborhoods
and residential communities, transforming the valley from open range into a destination for families, retirees and new businesses.
Today, Prescott Valley balances rapid growth with a deep appreciation for its heritage, preserving historic sites and honoring the pioneers, ranchers and Indigenous communities that helped shape its story.
Prescott Valley's story is one of continual growth. These key milestones highlight how a rural ranching community evolved into one of Arizona's fastest-growing towns.
