Kaleem Caire knows what it means to overcome. Growing up on the south side of Madison without either of his parents, he barely graduated high school and saw his friends slip through the cracks.
After serving in the U.S. Navy and transferring back home to UW-Madison, his journey fighting for equitable education began when he served as the Minority Student Achievement Consultant for the WI Department of Public Instruction. This had him asking: “How do we create schools where every child, regardless of race or zip code, can discover their gifts and reach their full potential?” One City Schools was his answer.
Serving children aged three months through eighth grade, they provide longer school days, year-round calendars, two teachers per classroom and a two-generation approach to strengthen families. Kaleem also works to prepare educators to teach all children, helps parents to be engaged in their child’s learning and helps chart new improvements for the American education system.

Just like our bodies thrive on the healthy food we eat, our skin also flourishes on what we feed it. Lisa Brill, founder of Qēt Botanicals, believes in working with proven, plant-based ingredients to create the company's 100% natural, premium personal care products. Having suffered from sensitive skin, adult acne, rosacea, and thyroid and negative changes in her own health, Brill knew something had to be done.
Since 2013, Qēt (“keet”) Botanicals has been hand-making formulas with love and care, and Brill is passionate about educating consumers on the benefits of using safe care products. The company is based on these principles and was born out of the need for fresh and effective premium care — without the use of

toxins, synthetics, or harmful chemicals or preservatives — for our face, body and hair.
With over 35 national clean beauty awards, Qēt Botanicals is not a cover-up — it's a remedy that came into existence because of a true personal need. Products are designed to heal and reveal healthy skin, not to hide or camouflage it. The company is proud of thousands of satisfied customers and to be part of the Environmental Working Group Verified program.

Princeton Club: A Madison Legacy, Built for a Better Tomorrow
Every great city has defining stories — those built on vision, excellence, and community. In Madison, few shine brighter than Princeton Club.
Founded in 1987 by Dave Gerry as a single club on the city’s East Side, Princeton Club has grown into a nationally recognized fitness organization with 11 locations — eight in Madison, one in Milwaukee, and two in northern Illinois. From the beginning, Dave’s commitment to excellence in facilities, service, and member experience set the standard.
Today, that vision continues under the leadership of Andy Haugen, President and CEO since 2016. A Madison native, Andy has led Princeton Club through strategic expansion and reinvestment, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the industry. The club’s mission — “For a Better Tomorrow” — reflects its dedication not only to members’ health but also to its staff and the broader community.
Princeton Club provides world-class amenities, including 24/7 access, swimming pools, hot tubs, group fitness classes, performance studios, saunas, basketball and racquetball courts, strength training and nationally certified personal trainers. But beyond the equipment, it’s a place where goals are met, friendships are built and lives are transformed.
The club’s impact extends well beyond its walls. Through the #ForABetterTomorrow initiative, Princeton Club supports organizations such as University of WisconsinMadison Carbone Cancer Center, American Heart Association and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin — continuing its long tradition of community giving and support.
With a passionate team, decades of leadership and a commitment to its community, Princeton Club isn’t just Madison’s premier health club, it’s a legacy still growing one “better tomorrow” at a time.

Since 1979 this second generation woman owned business has been a staple in the Madison community. Just like the diverse community they are part of, Diane’s Draperies sees each home, and each window, as a fingerprint: no two are alike.
To some, picking a window covering may seem simple, but to owner Natasha Jones and the team, it is an art. Factors such as climate, landscaping, window direction and location, as well as personal traditions, interests and styles can all determine what ends up on the windows of each unique home. Listening closely to clients’ stories, the team will help complete every project with a focus on detail, function and design.
Diane’s Draperies has a multitude of offerings, including in-home consultations, custom drapes and shades, top treatments, cushions, bedding and pillows, alterations, repairs and more. Giving back to their community, they offer assistance in protective window treatments for schools, as well as sponsor various community activities.

Dog’s Best Friend Training has been helping Madison area dogs and their humans live happier lives since 1988. Founded by world-renowned animal behaviorist Patricia McConnell, the team’s mission has always been simple: build stronger bonds by making good behavior easier for everyone.
In 1995, Aimee Jarosz joined the pack and later took the lead in 2007. Under her guidance, Dog’s Best Friend has grown into a hub of canine expertise, powered by a dream team of certified trainers who include Behavior Consultant Chelse Wagner and senior trainers Julie Vanderloop and Shannon Skolaski.

Happy Dogz has been wagging tails and winning hearts in Madison for more than 25 years! With two convenient locations in Fitchburg and Middleton, this locally owned, award-winning daycare has become a go-to spot for pet parents who want their pups to have safe, happy, tail-wagging adventures.
As one of Madison’s first dog daycares, Happy Dogz is led by canine behavior and training pros. Dogs get the right mix of play, attention and TLC. Owners Sarah Sirios and Aimee Jarosz were both mentored by renowned animal behaviorist Dr. Patricia McConnell and bring that expertise into their commitment to positive reinforcement-based care.

With over 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space, there’s room for every pup’s personality to shine. Pups spend their days romping with friends in supervised playgroups, splashing around in wading pools, lounging in the sunshine and soaking up plenty of ear scratches and belly rubs. At the end of the day, your dog will come home tired, happy and ready to snuggle up after a day of pure doggy joy, backed by trusted expertise, award-winning service and a caring team dedicated to safety, reliability and creating lasting peace of mind.

Lasting SkinSolutions (LSS) specializes in the revolutionary Trans Epidermal Delivery (TED) System — a breakthrough technology that stimulates natural hair growth without pain, surgery or downtime. This technology utilizes acoustic soundwaves to deliver targeted growth factors that promote hair follicle regrowth.
Hair loss affects 50 million men and 30 million women in the U.S., often beginning well before age 40. The team at Lasting SkinSolutions understands that restoring hair is about more than appearances — it’s about health, wellness and lasting results.
The LSS team takes a comprehensive, root-cause approach,

investigating underlying factors such as hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies and stress. By addressing these contributors alongside TED treatments, they create personalized plans designed for long-term hair health.
As Madison’s exclusive providers of TED, Lasting SkinSolutions combines advanced technology with holistic care, delivering innovative, effective and trusted solutions, elevating the science and artistry of hair restoration.

Hormonal health is the cornerstone of vitality, energy and overall wellness. Lasting SkinSolutions (LSS) specializes in comprehensive hormone replacement therapy (HRT) tailored to each stage of life. They use slow-release pellets, which provide steady hormone release and maintain even levels without the peaks and valleys of frequent injections.
For women, HRT therapy can manage symptoms like fatigue, mood changes, sleep disturbances and decreased libido.
For men, HRT focuses on low testosterone, an issue that affects

approximately 13 million men in the U.S. and can lead to reduced energy, muscle mass and bone density. Low testosterone also affects sexual health and can contribute to erectile dysfunction, decreased libido and reduced confidence.
Using a personalized, root-cause approach, LSS evaluates underlying contributors like stress, nutrition, sleep and metabolic health. By combining bioidentical hormone therapy with targeted lifestyle and wellness interventions, the LSS team helps patients achieve long-term, holistic results.

Lasting SkinSolutions (LSS) offers exclusive body contouring treatments with BeautiFill and BeautiFirm.
BeautiFill is a cutting-edge laser liposuction procedure that removes stubborn fat while allowing for natural fat transfer to the face, hands or breasts. This dual benefit not only eliminates unwanted fat but also restores youthful volume where it’s needed most, delivering results that are both transformative and natural.
Even with modern weight management strategies and GLP-1 therapies, many patients continue to struggle with loose skin and resistant fat pockets. That’s where BeautiFirm comes in. Designed

primarily for the neck and other smaller areas, BeautiFirm tightens and firms skin by stimulating collagen production. This treatment enhances fat removal results, creating smoother contours and a more refined appearance.
As Madison’s exclusive specialists in BeautiFill and BeautiFirm, LSS helps patients achieve enhanced contours, rejuvenated skin and renewed confidence, blending science, innovation and artistry in every procedure.

The Emerald Paw is redefining dog care. Owner Jenny Burville achieves this by not trying to serve every dog, but by serving dogs the right way. The Emerald Paw holds itself accountable to national professional associations and continuing education in animal behavior and body language.
One of the most defining aspects of this approach is the small-group model and required trial stays, where all dogs are evaluated individually for their emotional, behavioral and social cues. Dogs are never forced to push through discomfort and each dog’s stay is customized.
The same philosophy carries into their grooming salon, which emphasizes Fear Free handling, relationship-based care and recurring schedules allowing dogs to build familiarity and trust. This

has resonated with clients, reflected in consistent five-star reviews praising communication, honesty and the sense that dogs are treated like family.
At The Emerald Paw dogs are not seen as units of capacity, but as beating hearts with individual needs.

Hydrate IV Bar
Shahayra Majumder made a move few Midwesterners expect, trading Palm Beach for Madison in pursuit of opportunity. Prioritizing economic stability and long-term impact over coastal prestige, she chose Epic Systems. A career spanning healthcare technology and scientific sales sharpened her understanding of the structural challenges embedded in U.S. healthcare, ultimately pushing her to give up financial stability and pursue entrepreneurship to solve modern health problems.
Enter: Hydrate IV Bar, a wellness franchise founded by CEO Katie Wafer Gillberg, a former Denver Broncos cheerleader and medical sales representative whose early exposure to IV therapy through athlete recovery and altitude performance shaped the brand’s approach.
Shahayra, alongside partner and coowner Jonathan Chizever, has opened one of the brand’s largest locations, featuring private drip and shot rooms, an IV lounge and support of mobile concierge care. The opening also marks a homecoming for the brand, with a Sun Prairie native franchisor owner, Chad Grote.

FACE FOUNDRIÉ is proudly locally owned and operated by Alana and Brad Hohenstein, bringing a fresh, modern skincare approach to the community. Alana was born and raised in the Madison area, and recently returned with her husband and two children, excited to build a business and a life in the city they call home.
During Alana’s IVF journey, FACE FOUNDRIÉ became more than a facial bar for her. It was a place to pause, reflect and care for herself during a

physically and emotionally demanding time. That personal experience shaped her passion to create a space in Madison where self-care feels approachable, restorative and empowering.
FACE FOUNDRIÉ is an affordable, accessible facial bar designed to fit real life — no fluff, no pressure, just effective skincare and welcoming vibes. Alana and Brad are thrilled to introduce this elevated, yet inclusive, concept to Madison and can’t wait to serve the community they love.
