National Give Something Away Day is observed annually on July 15th. Established in 2015 by Linda Eaton Hall-Fulcher, the holiday encourages people to declutter, pass along useful items, and share their blessings with friends, family, or those in need.

FIFA World Cup 2026 wraps up on July 19th. It’ll be another 4 years before this tournament happens againso make sure not to miss the matches!

For the first time in our history, Neighbour Media is dedicating its cover to someone who has passed away. We didn’t make this decision lightly, but Sam Saberi was no ordinary citizen. As a team, we wanted to honour Sam as the ultimate Good Neighbour —a man who poured his entire heart into ensuring no one in Aurora ever felt hungry, unseen, or alone. He was a beloved son, a cherished brother to Tina, and the absolute number-one fan of his niece, Maya, and nephew, Mason. His infectious, ear-to-ear smile was a staple of the local landscape. When Sam passed away suddenly on April 21, 2026, at the age of 41, a profound silence fell over the town.

For those of you who didn’t know him, Sam was the owner of Tina’s Grill. To step into Tina’s Grill was to step into Sam’s living room. Alongside his parents, Harry and Azar, Sam built more than a thriving business; he created a sanctuary. He was a passionate sports enthusiast—always ready to good-naturedly trash-talk TorontoMaple Leafs fans in his Philadelphia Flyers gear—but his true devotion was to people. Sam famously lived by a simple mantra: “It costs zero dollars to be kind.” He didn't just speak those words; he lived them through extraordinary actions that ripple across Aurora:

• Feeding the Hungry: On the last Wednesday of every month, he quietly prepared and delivered a week's worth of meals to five struggling families.

• The Pay-It-Forward Wall: He set up a wall of prepaid receipts at Tina's Grill so anyone facing hard times could eat with dignity, matching the community's donations out of his own pocket.

• Answering the Call: When holiday toys were stolen from a local fire hall, he turned his restaurant into a massive toy-drive hub overnight.

• An Everyday Hero: When a vehicle crashed outside the restaurant and caught fire, Sam ran toward the flames, smashed the window with his bare hand, and pulled the driver to safety.

His relentless selflessness earned him a Business Excellence Award in 2021 and the title of Aurora’s Citizen of the Year in 2022. Both incredibly well deserved.

Sam fought his own battles with daily anxiety, yet he constantly chose to put good into the world to inspire the next generation. Following his passing, the community rallied to raise over $23,000 for the Hospital for Sick Children in his honour.

Sam, you were the heartbeat of Aurora. You are profoundly missed, but your legacy of fierce kindness will never be forgotten. #GoodNeighbour

Original works of art line the streets, live music fills the air, and the aromas of food and beverages create a vibrant backdrop for an evening of inspiration and connection. Visitors were invited to wander, explore, and discover pieces that spark emotion, tell stories, and speak to the imagination. It is a unique opportunity to connect directly with talented local artists, celebrate their creative journeys, and experience the rich artistic spirit that helps define our community.

Tee Off for a Great Cause at the Tim Jones Classic Charity Golf Tournament

Community, pride, and giving back were on full display at Market Brewing Co. as the nmrkt.PROUD annual t-shirt campaign, in support of the Newmarket Food Pantry, o cially kicked off on June 1st! The taproom was buzzing with energy as community members, sponsors, and supporters came together to launch another year of this incredible initiative. Guests enjoyed an evening of connection, community spirit, and fantastic live music from Bianca Rollo, creating the perfect atmosphere to celebrate a cause that makes a real difference. The nmrkt.PROUD campaign is a wonderful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together to support its neighbours. Every shirt purchased helps support the important work of the Newmarket Food Pantry and the individuals and families they serve.

Join CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors on Thursday, September 10, 2026, for the 13th Annual Tim Jones Classic Charity Golf Tournament at the beautiful Lebovic Golf Club in Aurora.

Named in honour of former Aurora Mayor and dedicated CHATS supporter Tim Jones, this much-loved community event brings together golfers, businesses, and community leaders for a day of golf, networking, and philanthropy - all in support of local seniors.

Proceeds from the tournament help fund CHATS Transportation and Meals on Wheels programs, two essential services that enable older adults to remain independent, connected, and supported in their own homes. Every round played helps provide rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, and community programs, while also delivering nutritious meals to seniors who may otherwise struggle to access healthy food.

Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a cart, breakfast, dinner, contests, prizes, and opportunities to connect with fellow community supporters, all while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.

July is here, and I’ve been reflecting on what a busy and rewarding month June was for Newmarket –Aurora. Here are just a few highlights.

Earlier in the month, I was pleased to host my third annual Seniors’ Expo, which brought together hundreds of local seniors, caregivers and community partners for a morning of connection, learning, and support. Events like this play an important role in improving health and well-being for older adults by connecting them with services, resources, and programs that support healthy aging, independence, and quality of life. To round out

Seniors Month, I was also pleased to highlight ongoing Seniors Active Living Centres funding of more than $237,000 for the Aurora Seniors Centre, Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place, and Communauté du Trille blanc, helping local seniors stay active, connected, and engaged through programs that support both physical and mental well-being.

June also brought several important funding announcements that will make a meaningful difference here in Newmarket–Aurora and across York Region. I was proud to announce $400,000 in provincial funding for BridgeNorth and Cedar Centre through the Civil Remedies Grant Program. This investment will help expand trauma-informed supports for vulnerable children and youth, including those affected by sexual exploitation, violence, and abuse.

On June 17th, Rose of Sharon announced the launch of the Youth Thrive Community Hub, a new one-year pilot project made possible through a $100,000 Seed Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, funded by the Government of Ontario. In partnership with the Aurora Black Community Association, Women's Support Network of York Region, and Bridge North, the Hub at Rose of Sharon will provide 60 culturally responsive workshops focused on leadership development, emotional resilience, social connection, gender-based violence prevention, and human tra cking awareness for pregnant, parenting, and at-risk youth aged 14–29. A special thank you to MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy and to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Ontario for investing in a stronger, more inclusive future for youth in our community.

We also celebrated a $100,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for Rose of Sharon to help launch the Youth Thrive Community Hub, supporting pregnant, parenting, and at-risk youth through accessible, community-based programming.

In addition, I was proud to announce $55,000 for York Pride Festival through the Experience Ontario program, supporting an event that fosters inclusion, belonging, and economic activity in our community.

As we celebrate Canada Day, I want to wish everyone in Newmarket–Aurora a happy and safe holiday. I hope to see many of you at the parade and out in the community this summer.

Community is a word we use often, but its true meaning is felt more than it is defined.

To me, care and community are inseparable. Care is more than helping someone heal physically; it is listening, showing up, and creating space where people feel seen and valued. Community is the extension of that care and embodies the understanding that none of us are meant to do life alone.

What makes places like Newmarket and East Gwillimbury so special is that despite growth and change, that thread of connection remains. People return here. They stay here. They build here. Because there is something deeply grounding about belonging to a place where people genuinely want to see each other thrive.

On May 28th, Neighbour Media had the privilege of attending Relay for Life at Sacred Heart, a truly inspiring event that brings people together in support of everyone affected by cancer. Relay for Life is a powerful reminder of the strength of community, creating space to honour loved ones, celebrate survivors, support those currently facing cancer, and stand united in hope for a future without this disease. Sacred Heart has proudly participated in Relay for Life since 2009, and the impact of their commitment continues to grow. This year, students, staff, families, and supporters raised an incredible $114,000. Even more remarkably, the school has now raised over $1 million since first joining the cause.

The Newmarket Asian Night Market transformed Upper Canada into a vibrant festival filled with delicious street food, unique local vendors, live entertainment, and an electric atmosphere that kept visitors exploring well into the evening. From mouthwatering bites and sweet treats to music, performances, and bustling vendor booths, there was something exciting around every corner. The sights, sounds, and flavours came together to create an unforgettable experience that brought the community together in celebration. The grills were hot, the sauce was flowing, and the aroma of BBQ filled the air as the Northern Heat Rib Series returned to Upper Canada on the weekend of May 29th! Rib lovers from across the community gathered to savour mouthwatering, fall-off-the-bone ribs prepared by some of the best BBQ ribbers around. The event served up more than just incredible food—it was a weekend filled with great vibes, delicious eats, and plenty of finger-lickin' fun for family and friends to enjoy together.

One of the season’s highlights is the launch of EG’s newest event, Music and Market Nights happening every Tuesday evening in July and August at the Civic Centre where you will enjoy local vendors, delicious food, and live entertainment. Whether you’re shopping for local products, supporting small businesses, or enjoying an evening of music with family and friends, the Music and Market Nights are a wonderful way to celebrate summer in EG

We’re also counting down to the opening of the Health and Active Living Plaza (HALP) Park, a highly anticipated addition to our growing community. This new eight-acre park will provide various recreation options for residents to play, connect, learn and most importantly, have some fun. With hearts full of gratitude, Oasis: a Centre for Bereavement and Healing concluded its annual Empty Chair Auction on the weekend of May 23rd, with the beautifully transformed chairs on display at Royal Rose Gallery. Each chair told a unique story of loss, hope, healing, and remembrance. The proceeds from the auction directly support Oasis in its mission to walk alongside community members who are facing their own "empty chair"—helping them navigate grief and discover beauty, purpose, and meaning as they move forward. Did you know that Aurora is consistently included in the lists of top places to live in our country? Our growing community has just the right mix of small-town charm and big city sophistication, with excellent restaurants, amenities and tons of greenspace. Am I #AuroraProud? You bet! And I hope that you are too.

As I think about what else makes our Town so great, I always circle back to our community. Residents come together to volunteer, participate in sports, use our parks and trails and enjoy special events. This sense of community is especially palpable in the summer months, and I invite you to get out and experience it.

Have you been out to any Town events yet this summer? There are lots of exciting things to do this month and next, including our Concerts in the Park series which continues with a great lineup of bands performing in Town Park every Wednesday through to the end of August. Our Movies in the Park series also begins in early August. Bring your popcorn, lawn chair and a blanket, and enjoy a movie under the stars. What an extraordinary evening celebrating the people, organizations, and businesses that make Aurora such a vibrant and caring community at the 2026 Town of Aurora Community Recognition Awards! A heartfelt congratulations to all of the award recipients, including Doug Steele, Aurora's 2026 Citizen of the Year, and former Mayor Tim Jones, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. The awards served as a wonderful reminder that Aurora's greatest strength is its people—those who volunteer their time, support their neighbours, champion important causes, and work every day to make our community better.

Letter from MAYOR TAYLOR

Young people are our future!

Graduation season reminds us that our future is in good hands, offering the perfect opportunity to celebrate and encourage youth in our community.

I regularly meet young people who aren't just preparing for the future—they are actively shaping a better world right now. Every June, my o ce provides awards and bursaries to graduating students at each local high school who stand out through creative pursuits and community engagement. NACCA’s annual scholarships also recognize youth who achieve academic success while advocating for their communities and overcoming systemic inequalities to build a more inclusive world. Additionally, Neighbour Media, in partnership with Magna, honours students demonstrating initiative, leadership, and generosity through the Pay It Forward Scholarship Awards.

It’s not just about commencement ceremonies, though. As Mayor, I see youth stepping up throughout the year. The Town’s awards celebrate young people who serve as ambassadors and peer mentors, leading clubs and volunteering with local organizations. Youth-led groups like the Newmarket Youth Leadership Group work together to create volunteer opportunities and boost civic engagement, proving they are already leaders. Similarly, the Young Politicians of Canada meet regularly to discuss public policy. They recently met with Newmarket’s Chief Planner to understand community building and share their perspectives on the future of housing. I am also regularly invited to student-led high school events, such as the Terry Fox Run and yarn bombings that raise awareness for the Deaf/Blind community. Our Cadet Corps is another example of youth taking on vital roles. Alongside the Legion and Veterans’ Association, Cadets form the backbone of our Remembrance efforts.

These are just a few reasons why we can be entirely confident that our future is in good hands!

The taps were flowing, the music was pumping, and the good times were on full pour at the Newmarket Community Craft Beverage Festival! The festival served up an unforgettable weekend packed with unique experiences, from a lively Disco Dance Party to crowd-favourite Line Dancing, giving attendees plenty of reasons to raise a glass and hit the dance floor. The combination of great drinks, live entertainment, delicious food, and a vibrant community atmosphere made for a weekend worth toasting. Cheers to the organizers, vendors, performers, and everyone who came out to support this fantastic celebration of craft beverages and local culture.

This year marks an incredible milestone as the Newmarket Garden Club celebrates its 100th Anniversary. On June 6th, members, supporters, and gardening enthusiasts gathered at the Newmarket Community Centre for a special Centennial Celebration honouring a century of blooms, friendships, and community beautification. The day blossomed with creativity and inspiration, featuring a unique Floral Design Competition set within the water feature and splash pad, alongside an impressive indoor Horticulture and Design Show. Visitors also enjoyed displays highlighting the rich history of the club and showcasing the many ways it has helped cultivate a passion for gardening over the past 100 years.

The Newmarket Car Club hosted its annual Car Show, on June 7th! For one incredible day, downtown Newmarket was transformed into a car lover's paradise, with Main Street lined bumper-to-bumper with stunning classic cars, vintage favourites, muscle machines, and beautifully restored automotive treasures. The street was alive with the rumble of engines, the shine of polished chrome, and the excitement of enthusiasts sharing stories, admiring craftsmanship, and celebrating a shared love of all things automotive. Congratulations to the Newmarket Car Club on another fantastic show. It was a wheel-y great day filled with horsepower, nostalgia, and plenty of automotive eye candy!

Today, we celebrate the birthday of our home and native land, Canada.

Ours is a nation shaped by courage, sacrifice, and a people who believed they could build something greater together.

Canada is the country that united provinces into Confederation more than 150 years ago with the bold belief that people spread across vast distances could become one nation.

It is the country that drove a railway across mountains and wilderness to connect East and West.

It is the country whose soldiers stood at Vimy Ridge which helped define Canada’s identity on the world stage.

It is the country that welcomed generations of newcomers who arrived with little more than hope and helped build thriving communities from coast to coast by becoming Canadian.

And it is the country of backyard hockey rinks and snow-covered soccer fields, where winter defines our character and the cold runs through our veins.

These moments remind us that Canada is always worth the fight.

As we reflect on the country we want to leave for the next generation, I want to share the vision that drives me every day: a Canada where families work hard and thrive, where businesses grow, where children can play safely and are hopeful about their future, and where seniors can age with the dignity and respect they have earned.

You can rest assured that I will continue fighting for a Canada that leaves no one behind.

With gratitude and admiration, May 31st marked the 50th anniversary—and final chapter—of the Easter Seals Joe Persechini Run/Walk/Roll. While it was certainly a bittersweet occasion, it was also a powerful celebration of an incredible legacy. For five decades, this event has helped provide children with physical disabilities access to mobility equipment, essential resources, and life-changing camp experiences, making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families throughout our community and beyond. The impact of 50 years of dedication, generosity, and community support cannot be overstated. Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the Joe Persechini Run/Walk/Roll over the past 50 years. Your commitment has created opportunities, fostered inclusion, and left a lasting impact that will continue to be felt for generations to come.

The Newmarket Soccer Club teamed up with the Town of Newmarket and MP Sandra Cobena to host an exciting Watch Party for Canada's first World Cup match, bringing soccer fans together for an afternoon filled with national pride, community spirit, and plenty of cheering!

Fans packed into Ray Twinney Sports Club decked out in red and white, waving Canadian flags and rallying behind Team Canada as they took to the world stage. The atmosphere was electric, with supporters of all ages coming together to celebrate the beautiful game and share in the excitement of World Cup action. The fun didn't stop at kickoff! Attendees enjoyed ice cream, mini soccer balls, and plenty of family-friendly activities that added to the festive game-day experience. From future soccer stars to lifelong fans, everyone had a chance to be part of the celebration.

It was an unforgettable day on Main Street Newmarket for the Parade on June 14th! The streets were filled with colour, joy, laughter, and an incredible sense of community as people came together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and love in all its forms. Thank you to the York Pride organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and the Town of Newmarket for creating a Pride weekend that was welcoming, inclusive, and filled with positive energy. Your dedication helped make this celebration a vibrant reflection of the strength, resilience, and beauty of our community. The Bank of Montreal

The Bank of Montreal, one of Canada’s “Five Big Banks” is the fourth largest bank in Canada and the tenth largest in North America. The bank was established in 1817, giving it the distinction of Canada’s oldest bank. In Newmarket, the Bank of Montreal stood for almost a century at the corner of Main and Timothy Streets (see picture showing its construction). This building was the first bank building that was built solely for banking purposes in Newmarket. The manager had accommodation on the second storey. Newmarket once boosted five banks on its Main Street. Sadly they have all left for more modern facilities, the Bank of Montreal being the last to leave. We are left its distinct architecture, its imposing structure is designated an historic site. It is now a bicycle shop “Bike Sports” giving new life to the old building.

With hearts full of gratitude, The Samosa Master Inc., in collaboration with Meal Deal Apps, gave back to the community that has supported them every step of the way by sharing 2,000 FREE samosas at the Newmarket Library on May 23rd. This special giveaway was about much more than food. It is a heartfelt thank you to the community for the encouragement, loyalty, and kindness that have helped make their journey possible. "The Awesome Foundation was at it again spreading awesome around Newmarket. This month we were so happy to give $1000 cash to Roger’s Public School toward the Grade 8 graduation. By removing financial barriers, these funds will allow all students to take part in the celebrations as they move on to the next chapter of their life. Our Streets, Their Stories

Every street sign tells a story. Some honour community builders, others remember trailblazers, and many quietly preserve local history we pass by every day. This page is dedicated to uncovering the people behind those names and the legacies they left in our neighbourhoods. Let’s meet the neighbours behind the names.

Murray Drive

Thank you to Neighbour Partner Chris Cartwright and Team for supporting the Our Streets, Their Stories page! We appreciate your love and support of the community.

Murray Drive is not one of the streets that comes to mind when one thinks about historic Aurora, but the man for whom it is named was a key player in local politics in his time. Donald James Murray was first elected to Town Council in late 1948. He served multiple terms and was elected as Reeve in 1955, then as Mayor from 1957-1960. Murray Drive was established and named while Mayor Murray was still in o ce, with the street acting as a key route through the new Regency Acres subdivision.

In 1958, the Sterling Drug company built a voluminous manufacturing plant at the corner with Yonge Street which remained a Murray Drive landmark until its closure in the late 1980s. Murray Drive was only extended past the golf course in the 1980s, finally bridging the North and South halves and providing that essential bypass for our busy main intersection.

Doane Road

Doane Road is named after Ebenezer Doane, an early Quaker settler in the Newmarket–East Gwillimbury area and a member of the prominent Doane family that helped establish several communities in York Region.

The Doane family were among the early Quaker pioneers who settled along Yonge Street in the early 1800s. They were known not only as farmers but also as skilled carpenters and builders. Members of the family contributed to the construction of notable local landmarks, including the Sharon Temple in East Gwillimbury and the Yonge Street Meeting House in Newmarket.

So when you travel along Doane Road, you're driving on a road that commemorates one of the area's founding settler families and their contributions to the development of York Region.

Thoms Crescent

Thoms Crescent honours William “Bill” Thoms (1910–1964), a hometown hockey hero who rose from his family’s Gorham Street home to the bright lights of the NHL. Alongside his brothers, Harry and Charles, Bill starred for the junior Newmarket Redmen, a local powerhouse that fostered his early talent. A skilled, smooth-skating center, Thoms broke into the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1931, and in 1938, he was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks, where he flourished offensively and earned an NHL All-Star selection in 1942. He finished his 13-year big-league career with the Boston Bruins. Across 548 regular-season games, Thoms amassed 132 goals and 343 points—highly impressive numbers for the low-scoring, "Original Six" era.

After retiring, Thoms coached in the AHL and OHA. Thoms Crescent stands as a permanent tribute to his remarkable journey from a local neighborhood rink to hockey’s grandest stages.

As we prepare to celebrate Canada Day, I want to take a moment to connect with the people who make our community such a special place to call home.

Throughout the year, I have met with residents whose kindness, resilience, and generosity continue to inspire me. Thank you to the neighbours who lend a helping hand, the volunteers who dedicate their time to worthy causes, and the families working hard every day to build a brighter future for the next generation. It is through these everyday acts of compassion and commitment that our community grows stronger.

Canada Day is an opportunity not only to celebrate our country, but also to recognize the values that unite us here at home. Because Canada’s strength is reflected in communities like ours, communities that come together, support one another, and face challenges with hope and determination.

On June 3rd, the memory of Good Neighbour Sam Saberi was honoured on what would have been his birthday. Known for his generous spirit, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others, Sam left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. To celebrate his legacy, his family made a donation to Welcoming Arms in Sam’s name, continuing the tradition of compassion and giving that meant so much to him. In recognition of the example Sam set for our community, the Town of Aurora has proclaimed June 3rd as Sam Saberi’s Day of Giving and Generosity. May we all carry forward Sam’s spirit of generosity and remind one another that kindness is one of the greatest gifts we can give.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the police o cers, firefighters, paramedics, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and all frontline workers who serve with courage and dedication. Your commitment, sacrifice, and unwavering service help keep our communities safe and supported, often during life’s most di cult moments.

As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones this Canada Day, please take a moment to appreciate the role each of us plays in making our community the caring, welcoming, and vibrant place it is today.

Age is just a number—and the residents of Southlake Residential Care Village proved it in style at the 2nd Annual Walk for Seniors! More than 70 residents laced up their walking shoes and hit the course for a fun-filled celebration of health, friendship, and community spirit. Leading the way was the amazing Helen, who is about to celebrate her 104th birthday! If anyone was wondering who the pace-setter was, Helen showed everyone how it's done. The event was filled with smiles, laughter, encouragement, and plenty of inspiring moments as residents, family members, and staff came together to celebrate staying active and enjoying life to the fullest. It was a wonderful reminder that you're never too old to set a goal, stay active, and have a little fun along the way. Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a memorable success.

Our hearts are absolutely full, and we are still buzzing from the incredible energy of the 4th annual Catering for a Cause. Because of this amazing community, we raised a record-breaking $20,000! We are thrilled to announce that Victim Services York Region took home the grand prize ($10,000), with Rose of Sharon and Margaret Bahen Hospice equally sharing the remaining funds ($5,000 each). An impact that will ripple through our community and support those who need it most, when it matters most. A massive thank you to all of the attendees, volunteers, and sponsors! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for making local history with us! Our community is stronger, kinder, and more connected because of all of you. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

What an unforgettable evening celebrating the next generation of leaders at the Top 40 Under 40 Awards! The Aurora Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Central York Chamber of Commerce, came together to recognize an exceptional group of young professionals who are making a meaningful and lasting impact across our communities. The room was filled with excitement, inspiration, and a real sense of pride as we celebrated the energy, talent, innovation, and dedication of this year’s nominees and award recipients. Each story highlighted the passion and commitment driving our region forward. Congratulations to all of this year’s honourees! Your leadership, hard work, and vision are not only shaping your industries but also helping build a stronger, brighter future for everyone in our community.

In June, the Early Keyboard Festival transformed Old Town Hall into a living exhibition of sound, where history came alive through professional concerts, engaging lectures, and inspiring student performances. At the heart of the festival were five exceptional public concerts, each thoughtfully curated to showcase Céleste Music's extraordinary collection of historical keyboard instruments. The concerts contained a roster of world-renowned performers and experts in historical performance, artists whose performances revealed the original colours and sounds of our unique, stunning instruments.

On June 11th, the Aurora Cultural Centre and MusicAurora turned up the soul at Slabtown The Armoury during their Sponsor Appreciation Night, where the highly anticipated 2027 Aurora Winter Blues Festival lineup was o cially announced. It was an evening filled with gratitude, great energy, and that unmistakable blues rhythm in the air as supporters, sponsors, and music lovers came together to celebrate the return and continued revival of this one-of-a-kind festival. With excitement already building, tickets will be going on sale soon—so be sure to stay tuned and don’t miss your chance to be part of this soulful winter tradition.

For one spectacular day, 1.3 kilometres of Yonge Street in Aurora became a vibrant festival destination filled with energy, entertainment, shopping, food, and fun around every corner. More than 25,000 people came out to experience the excitement, strolling the street, discovering local businesses, enjoying live entertainment, and connecting with friends, neighbours, and visitors from across the region. With over 450 vendors lining the Aurora Street Festival route, there was something for everyone to explore, taste, shop, and enjoy. A huge thank you to the vendors, sponsors, volunteers, performers, and thousands of attendees who helped make this year's Street Festival another outstanding success.
