Letter from the President
It’s that time of year again. Introducing the 2019 Chamber of Commerce Business directory. 2018 has brought some exciting events and new businesses arriving to our community along with some ready to open. Please see the directory and support our local businesses. It’s close and convenient to shop in our area and as we all know time is money. From doctors, dentists, medical facilities, retail, auto, beauty salons, professionals and more we have it all right in our neighborhood. We just came off of one of our most successful events that took place at the West Islip Fire Department. On October 24 we brought to the community our “Taste of West Islip”. We had over 30 local vendors displaying their food and over 400 residents attended. The support from all of our food venues that included our delis, restaurants and bars was tremendous. It was a great time and we are looking forward to another one in 2019. The chamber has had networking events supporting everything to small business plans to help with social media. In this day and age our businesses need to engage in internet activities to promote and grow their businesses. We also had a wonderful cocktail networking party at Primi Italian steakhouse and by the time this is published we will have had our holiday party there too. I want to personally thank all the businesses that have joined the chamber this year and thank all the businesses that have been steady members throughout. We are grateful for our resident members who participate in all our events and support us too. Joining the chamber brings exposure to your business and supports local programs that we promote for the betterment of our community.
