Outstanding Thirteen West Islip students were recently honored with Outstanding Leadership Awards by the Suffolk Zone Chapter of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Excelling in the areas of fitness, citizenship and leadership, these fifthand eighth-grade students were recognized at a May 4 awards ceremony for having demonstrated their

dedication to high personal standards and their genuine care for others through positive attitude, behavior and performance. The Outstanding Leadership Award winners were Ryan Getfield, Alyssa Woltmann and Carter Zito from Bayview Elementary School; Holly Bellini and Joseph Dell’unto from Manetuck Elementary School; Vincent Grieco and Jenna Vallinoto from Oquenock Elementary
