Residents looking to get rid of unwanted or expired medications are invited to drop them off at the library for proper disposal by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. Accepted items include prescription medication, prescription patches, over the counter medications, and vitamins. PSEG Long Island applauds the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City for making a commitment to the environment with a project estimated to reduce the museum’s energy usage by more than 400,000-kilowatt hours per year. That translates to approximately $70,000 per year in energy costs.
