Autism FYI Autism FYI (AFYI) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a safe environment, employment opportunities and independence for those on the Autism Spectrum. They recently opened their first office in the New York area in Wantagh. They are honored and delighted to have this new office and team to serve the New York Autism community for years to come! Autism FYI was founded by Dr. James Benjamin and his wife Joyce in 2014 to help advance awareness of the needs surrounding people with Autism. They accomplish this goal of theirs through a safety membership program offered by their organization that is called IRIS, as well as through training that creates community awareness about Autism and allows businesses to become “Autism Friendly Certified”, which allows them to create a more inclusive community for those with Autism. Their organization envisions a nation that utilizes its resources to assure that all of those living on the Autism Spectrum have a promising and equitable future; they are both locally and globally committed.
