They have actively been serving those in need on Long Island for over 70 years!

Ward Melville DECA Team Earns State Bid Ward Melville DECA team members recently competed in the regional DECA competition at the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College and emerged victorious, with 28 students qualifying to compete at the state level in Rochester, New York at the end of February. DECA prepares emerging student leaders and entrepreneurs for
real-world applications in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. These foundation skills are essential building blocks for successful career paths in our student’s futures. During the regional event, students participated in 28 events and placed in 19 events. “Our DECA chapter

The Port Jefferson Middle School Science Olympiad Team placed third out of 35 teams who competed at the Suffolk County Regional Division B Science Olympiad competition, recently held at Candlewood Middle School. Their ranking allows them to compete against the best teams across New York State on April 17 and 18 at East Syracuse Minoa High School in Syracuse. Students in grades 6-9 competed in events which tested their study skills in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering and scientific problemsolving. Coached by Adam Bouchard, the school’s earth science and Science 8 teacher, the students had a dominant performance and received medals in 21 of 23 events. “Every student was highly motivated and showed a lot of hard work in preparing for their events,” Bouchard said. “It truly showed this year with the team’s outstanding performance competing with the top teams of the county.” The Port Jefferson School District

The Miller Place School District (MPSD) is buzzing about sixth grade student Marc Lindemann’s recent academic success during the National Geographic
GeoBee competition, an annual competition designed to promote geographic knowledge among young people in the United States.
